Yeah I don't buy it. He's got a gay "friend" doesn't mean he's automatically gay. I like to think Taylor has some good sense not to just to flat out pander like that (don't @ me about any hypocrisy from me being acceptable about Tim bisexuality but not Jon's alleged homosexuality. I like Tim pure & simple).

He adds that the original plan for 5G was to give Jon Jenny Sparks as a girlfriend but that's not happening. Ethan Van Sciver was actually the one who broke that Jon would be gay a week ago, but he's a comicsgater so nobody's crediting him for it. |

Some jackass posted a major spoiler on CBR'S forums about Amazing Spider-Man this week, and claimed it was him being 'vague' about plot details Dude, when you drop something as huge as Norman's been dealing with Mephisto this whole time, and that clones are involved You really don't have the faintest grasp of that word or it's meaning. |

Amazing Spider-Man#72 ...Um, wow...this is one big retcon This is Norman Osborn's One More Day, and reveals that the reason for much of his early success as a businessman at the expense of Mendel Stromm was due to selling out Harry's soul to Mephisto. Harry's entire life has been defined by this deal, his drug addiction, his turn to the Goblin and ultimate death, everything. Mephisto also spent several vacations with Norman when Harry was his kid, but gradually Norman lost his memory of these occasions the worse his son got.
Norman is reminded of this by A computerized projection of Harry in the house stationed in Europe, which contains various cloning tanks. Harry reveals he uploaded both his and Norman's brain waves to this computer just so he could gloat from beyond the grave (see the 90s one-shot "Legacy of Evil")
Oh, it also transpires Carlie's morgue has been inside of Kindred's catacombs this entire time, meaning she's always been a pawn in the devil's greatest bargain
The climax to the issue sees Kindred reveal to Mary Jane that he is not who he claims he is and she must now know the truth. He unmasks. MJ is shocked This is the worst kind of 1990s plot convolution and I love it. |

Tynion reveals more about the early plans for the Bat-books when 5G was still being prepped. He confirms the Joker epilouge in Tom King's final issue was intended to lead to the 'last' Joker vs Batman story resulting in Joker's death. Bruce's face would have been permanently scarred, which would seemingly make it easy for people to connect the dots with his identity and force him into a retirement of sorts. He had suggested to other writers that each of the core Bat-books could focus on the end of a particular era.
