what was reference to jetman, also since roxy avatar suit is a recolor escape costume, do you guys think footage of that suit for when its sentai footage just get recolored or they go and change colors.

So, what did I think about the first episode? It's good. I mean, it's pretty good, but I am not as overly-hyped as anyone else is on social media. Okay?! Believe me, people are f@#%'n crazy on social media. Anyways, not bad on the first episode of the show, but they got a long way to go in order to get everyone else's attention. Especially since we have suffered from a regression within the last eight years of the Neo-Saban era TV seasons. So, this is gonna take some time to recover.

It was more of the first episode of Jetman. Like with what we saw in the first episode of Beast Morphers, there were others that were originally meant to become Rangers, but like with the process of them getting their powers, something happen to where four of the five chosen were either killed or captured and turned evil or in Beast Morphers case, cloned.

Especially since we have suffered from a regression within the last eight years of the Neo-Saban era TV seasons. So, this is gonna take some time to recover. I rewatched the episode again, with the last five minutes that I missed, and I have to say, it's an excellent premiere. I respect your opinion, but I think the episode is beyond good. Calling "good" it's undermining its quality. I mean, sure the Neo-Saban era was underwhelming in quality, but even that, the first episode of Beast Morphers reaches the level in production values, acting and writing quality of Old Saban Era, and it's a best first ep than some seasons of Disney too. I think It's superior to premieres of Lightspeed Rescue, Wild Force, Zeo, Turbo, SPD, Mystic Force, OO, Jungle Fury. It doesn't reach a level of Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Ninja Storm, or Dino Thunder, but it's up there. I think the fans deserves to be hyped for the season. My only complaint was Devon looked like a little of a jerk, in his first fight with Blaze. Well, Blaze is a jerk, but I don't know why Devon is in a karate class learning, if he gonna antagonize with the master, thinking he knows more. Seems a little forced, almost he's reaching a Gary Stu level. But the rest of the episode was fantastic. Two parent figures who are smart and they are not complete jerks? Sure. A personal conflict between Ravi and the villianess, who was his ex-GF avatar, now in coma, which made him guilty, and could lead to more personal fights? Pretty smart. Also the leader of the organization is his mom? More conflict. Zoey and Devon shouldn't be Rangers, and now have to train? Yes. Blaze and Devon rivalry? Established for future episodes. Damn good unmorphed fights! Even the comedy pair was not bad. The first episode established more than other premiere did not: characters, personalities, conflicts, even secondaries that are there for a motive.

So, while it did make a reference or two with Jungle Fury as to how the Rangers come together, but did anyone else pick up on the reference to Jetman in the episode? I didn't. Where was it?

When the virus affected Roxy and Blaze when they were in the process of getting their powers. Out of the three original selected to be Rangers, only one became Rangers while the other two are cloned. It is like with Jetman as the same thing happen, out of the five originally chosen, only one actually became a Ranger while the others were either killed or captured and turned evil.

Hasbro did an awesome debut for the heroes & villains with rushing it or making it cheesy. Ben Burke & his sister Betty Burke are funny.

Would be cool idea. But I seriously doubt that. It just looks like it's a evil virus that gain sentient from the sciencist kid and all that. Think like dr. K and vengix.

I liked it overall. I just watched it this morning.
Btw, I do know someone else who also vlogged his own review of the first episode. I'll let him tell you his own thoughts.

It was an awesome review. I didn't know that Brennan had originally auditioned for Samurai.
I really enjoyed the TV reporter at the beginning of the episode. I thought the actress portrayed her well and sounded like a real reporter. I'd enjoy seeing her again. I doubt we'd see her as a recurring character a la Cassidy (minus the comic relief), but it would be fun to see her now and then reporting on news at Grid Battleforce.
Minor nitpick, but it has always been Morphing Grid, hasn't it? As opposed to Morphin Grid, I mean.
