Hulu couldn't take the shows. As they where made in a partnership between Netflix and ABC TV studios and marvel. Also there is the rumors they may have canned both to merge them into a heroes for hire show. But we will just have to see.

Well they could have created a minisodes to give them proper endings. Plus there goes are chance of seeing Brigid O'Reily in Luke Cage.

Well right now we either have to see if either cage or fist make a guest spot on Jessica 3rd season. Or if dd get a 4th season for there. But again could be they didn't see the value in costs for those two over dd and jessica. And maybe merge the two as I said and do what punisher did have a smaller order. Again marvel studios and marvel TV didn't have the call in end. As these characters where leased to Netflix and Loeb has been clear shows continue is all on Netflix call. No different for shield with an picking it up or not yes sucks it getting caned. But we can still see the characters in the remaining shows if they continue. Now if jessica and dd end too. Maybe then we could see them appear in future films like hulk did in Thor and so forth. But it isn't the total end yet.

I read on facebook via comic book that fans blame Thanos for killing both Iron Fist & Luke Cage.
