The narrator having to dramatically say CALVIN AND HAYLEY HAD AN ARGUMENT...THEY BROKE UP is honestly the funniest thing that's happened these whole two seasons. As opposed to any of the actual "comedic" writing. So...the coolest final civilian fight scene is...a Sarah solo battle? Unexpected, but I like it. Now some parental abuse up in here. Y'know, I really do buy Dane as a legendary badass fighter, even if not wholly "Greatest Ninja Ever" worthy. Calvin and Hayley's fight was pretty cool. Kinda wish she shot him though Civilians saving Sarah was pretty sweet. I wish it was characters we knew like Hastings and Ms Finch instead of randos, but it's cool. Odious' final form is pretty awesome. And her voice is giving me Green Trakeena vibes. Once again the rangers + Mick & Dane vs the main villain. It's a shame those two couldn't morph again. I was thinking earlier "Did the monsters just give Victor and Monty weapons???" And yep, they did. Two generals of the season...killed by the comedic duo. Wild. And the ship exploded so hard, my gosh. The Prism + Power Stars are still just so Deus Ex Machina-ish, but at least it kind of made sense with the seasons internal continuity? I won't lie the theme song coming in as they do their final attack is pretty awesome. A lot of cool CGI here, I won't lie. Victor actually doing something heroic to get his last trophy was expected, but I'm cool with it. But I wish he had something like "Actually this is OUR 50th trophy Monty," since I'm sure Monty helped him with most of them and it would have actually shown some characted development. I don't know why even the blandest of teams make me so emotional when they have family moments. I'm glad Mick and Redbot are staying with them. And the Prism is straight up leaving? And it suddenly re-covered itself with Ninja Steel? Which would have been SUPER HELPFUL AT THE END OF LAST SEASON??? As a whole though I think Ninja Steel was fine. Several steps down from Dino Charge, but like a better done version of Megaforce.
