The vast majority of fans begging Disney to get the rights backs are mostly gen z’ers who grew up on the Disney era. You can tell who they are because they generally think 32-38 episodes are an adequate number.

I have already posted something like this, months ago. And I am about to tell you, like I have been telling everyone else, notly1988. Disney has no intentions of buying back Power Rangers from Saban Brands, period!!! The company had its' chance with the franchise back in 2003-2009. But they blew it the minute they litsened to some idiot chief executive telling them that Power Rangers wouldn't sell as a boys' franchise. Nowadays, Disney cares more about milking Star Wars and Marvel like sick cows and making money off of crappy live-action remakes of their classical animated movies. Including fan-favorites like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King and possibly, the Little Mermaid.
Honestly, those people who have been asking for Disney to buy back the rights to Power Rangers need to get it through their heads.....Disney does not give a s@%# about Power Rangers, and they don't want to have anything to do with the franchise ever again. They have been trying to kill this franchise since the end of Power Rangers SPD. Let it go!!! Besides, now that Hasbro owns the rights to Power Rangers, officially. I am guessing that somethings might change for the franchise, but I can't be sure how long it's going to last, nor can I predict the future. All, I know is this....Disney is out, Saban Brands is gone for good. Hasbro is in. This is the way things are. So get used it. If you don't like it, then find something else to do with your life.

Now sure I did enjoy most of the Disney Era time. We got some good seasons out of thrm. Like ns, dt, spd, jf, and rpm. But we also got lacking series like mf or oo. But we have decent writing and actors where not to bad. I did enjoy the early team ups we got to Disney stopped that. And I liked most of the power ups and battlizers in those years. But then the problem just like nick now is lack of promoting the show. Show was moved around various Disney owned networks like ABC family, ABC kids, toon Disney and the like. Why it never get Disney proper I always felt was wrong. Plus also shorting seasons episode count.
But I wouldn't want Disney to take it back now. Sure maybe it could be different now. If they had someone in charge who cared for the show and the execs cared. Disney needed it in past due to at the time they where high on princesses and there tween girl market and they didn't have much for tween boy market. But now with them having star wars and marvel. They got that fully covered now. And power Rangers would have no place to grow and would likely be shuffled around get little to no promotion and just hurt the franchise more.
Now sure nick has the same problems we seen with disney. Promoted first few years then it tampered off. Then we get taking a series and spilt in two years bs. Then be it Saban or nick or a little of both. The lack luster writing and baby tone down in tone and direction also has hurt the show. Now sure we may not fix all that with hasbro. But I would hope now we see a little more money go into the show, and bring back better more mature writing and tone. And not be super kiddfy.

Disney had the right idea when they aired Power Rangers om ABC Family but then they moved it to Toon Disney, a subscription channel.
And when it came back to cable they gave it awful timeslots (RPM &MMPRv2)

The only season of Disney Rangers I liked was Dino Thunder. But it was too short. A real season? Should be more like the original seasons... 60 is a good number... at least 50...

They think because of what Disney is doing for Marvel they will do for PR which is far from the truth... The ONLY way you will see PR getting bought by Disney is if it was getting bigger than Disney and I dont see that happening. There are waaaaaaay too many ways for them to get money off what they have... Imagine if cartoons got popular again.... Spiderman and Xmen will get instant reboots.... I bet they are just sitting on ideas. PR and Hasbro was good because they got bought by a company who believes in them. Hasbro gave up the bag to get PR... They are going to pour a lot of money into this product than disney ever will.

60 was when Power Rangers aired daily. Not just once a week. It was great.

Actually, Dino Thunder only lasted for 38 episodes, not 32. Unlike Mystic Force to RPM did. But only season one of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers lasted for 60 episodes. Every other season after season one of MMPR lasted for a minimum of 40-50 episodes until the Disney-era officially began in 2003 with Ninja Storm which was the first season to have 38 episodes at the time.

60 is waaaay too long. 40-45 is sufficient 60 is too much!!! especially since its once a week now. Problem is even at 45 episodes a lot of those episodes would be trash/ filler. I dont mind filler as long as its good filler. You dont need an arc every episode. There are a lot of fillers that are good episodes. I wouldnt even mind more unmorphed episodes.

Season 1 dragged on far too long cause of it having 60 episodes. Rarely anything happened and it became over formulaic because of it. So many episodes, nothing getting done. I think any episode count is fine, if, and only if, you can write a story for it.

40 is the ideal number. Even season 1 i think is best watched you if you just watch the first forty episodes that was originally intended. Unless you’re doing a full MMPR rewatch (in which case skip several episodes) and just feel like watching season 1 as a standalone Doomsday was the best way to end it
