People complain about BM all the time, but frankly I'd rather watch generally wholesome team unity displayed even in flawed crossovers like "Grid Connection" than subject myself to this constant escalating drama and tension between supposed friends and comrades. This garbage simply isn't Power Rangers

Some comic pros are complaining about how it has a kickstarter campaign due to being part of a franchise.

^ I don't understand the logic of the comics pro. Apparently, it's bad for Boom to release this Kickstarter, because this is a franchise? And also for having success? Power Rangers never have success in comics. NEVER. And in these times, with a failing comics industry, DC imploding, Marvel doing stunts like the High Republic and infinite events, and people losing jobs, economy failing, and comics not being primordial, having success is the best that it can happens. The Kickstarter just give what the fans want. Not like Marvel, DC, or others, releasing comics than most of the audience don't want.

Whaaaaa? The new Green Ranger ended up being Matt the whole time? I would have never guess outside of him being the only logical answer.

Interesting it was him.

Recently read issue 8 of Mighty Morphin'. Zedd again has a climactic fight with the rangers where they kinda win, but it turns out Zedd won more. I swear, at this point I'm not sure any team could take him in a straight fight. More character drama that I'm starting to get annoyed at. I mean, I get that characters need to grow organically and character drama like this helps, but it's starting to get depressing. Maybe it's just the way they're doing Zedd on top of all this, but it feels like every time we turn around, it's a new argument or new revelation that causes fractures in a group that should be very strong considering what they do.
am I wrong on this?

You hit the nail on the head. The constant fracturing makes this book an affront to Power Rangers, but the simpletons will all eat it up because they want to be edgy.

While I have mixed feelings about how they're doing the character interactions, can we please refrain from name calling?

So I know I’m extremely late to the party but I finally read Soul of the Dragon.
Overall I’d say it was pretty good, I liked where they had taken Tommy’s arc and all the parts where he morphed were epic.
I was a little let down by the ending, the final battle felt way too ‘easy’ and in the end they didn’t actually defeat Lokar or Scorpina.
One *very* minor nitpick, Anara mentions she turned down joining A-Squad. That’s either a mistake or a disappointing turn of events, as SPD ending with B-Squad becoming the highest possible rank was one of the nicest things about it.
On the flip side, I absolutely adored the reveal that Finster was purified by the Z-Wave and spent his days making clay art. That especially felt like it was written by real fans of the show.

On the flip side, I absolutely adored the reveal that Finster was purified by the Z-Wave and spent his days making clay art. That especially felt like it was written by real fans of the show. I usually don't try to connect the TV show's continuity and timeline of TV events with what's happening in the Boom! Studios comic books because that's gonna raise a lot more questions about why this event only happened in a panel or an issue instead of it never being explained or mentioned in the current season or whatever. And a lot of people are gonna get even more confused with the actual continuity of the franchise. Just like with 20th Century Studios trying to tell us that the events of X-Men 1 and 2 are still cannon despite the events of Days of Future Past and Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix telling us that "NO!! We need to forget about those older X-Men movies because they are not even part of this new alternate timeline." Now, I will forgive the writers for even mentioning that the A-Squad still exists in Soul of the Dragon since they want to start over with a clean slate and that Sky Tate is now the new acting commander of the SPD Earth Branch. Where as Doggie Cruger is the new supreme commander of SPD and Fowler Birdie is now retired. Or something like that. Now the final battle with Scorpina is okay. It's not meant for tie-up any other loose ends from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers since there are likely to be more plans to use either Scorpina or Lokar as characters for future comic book storylines. But other than that, Soul of the Dragon was an incredible send-off to Tommy Oliver's character and his legacy as a Power Ranger. Now, the future is more than likely to be in good hands and he and Katherine can finally enjoy their retirement while their son, J.J. will carry on the work that his parents began. With his father's dragon shield and the technology of Space Patrol Delta.

Next up I read Sins of the Future. It was overall good, but surprisingly Wes was pretty much sidelined the whole time. Like, he doesn’t even wear his Silver Guardian uniform like on the cover lol.
Some of the weird timeline shenanigans were really confusing to me. They also never really explained why everyone thought Jen killed Alex.
Cyra/The Black Ranger was cool tho, and I liked how there was a secret back up Frax messing with everything. I loved future Nadira as well.
It seemed like they were trying to imply Frax was responsible for Zordon being stuck in a time warp but that doesn’t really match up with canon now, does it?
It was a sweet ending tho, focusing on the ‘now’ rather than the past or the future was a good ending for the characters. I still feel Wes/Jen are gonna need a more concrete plan to stay together tho lol
