I just realized that this unnecessary reboot was announced all the way back in 2018. It's nearly 2024. I'm pretty sure a reboot shouldn't take nearly six years to complete something at least substantial. I mean does it really take nearly six years to write a great script for a movie/tv show? Development Hell, indeed.

I think it's hard to make Power Rangers. Or to make it work, without Super Sentai. There's too much competition, between Marvel and DC (having its own reboot). People laugh, but Super Sentai was the thing that makes Power Rangers works. For better or worse, but buying the footage, it's cheaper in some way of making a full series of suits, weapons, monsters, giant monsters and giant robots fighting between buildings.

There's something hilarious about Hasbro seemingly losing so much money, yet they still want to *supposedly* reboot Power Rangers with wholly original footage, which will cost even more money than simply adapting sentai. Funny enough, nobody can explain in graphic detail spending more money is better than the cost cutting method that has worked for 30 years.

Well I would say if they only did 10 to 13 episodes of all original footage that probably would be cheaper then a full 30 to 40 plus episodes that toei does for Sentai. But who really knows what the costs and all that be and all.

Well, knowing how cheap the japanese are, and how the industry pays so little to actors, writers, directors, and the fees goes to Toei, I still believes 48 to 50 episodes are extremely cheap in comparison of 10 episodes of new footage of Power Rangers. Toei has a studio, with sets, buildings, besides the constant recycling of old suits, props, locations.... For the other part, did you people heard Godzilla -1 was made with a budget of less of 15 millions? And, that movie looks impressive. I don't think U.S. could make something so cheap.

According to a Japanese based source from Rangerboard, Hasbro will no longer be commercialising past Power Rangers products

From what I read PR wasnt included, Transformers wasnt included either. Hasbro still has control of those

Well, that could mean two things: 1) they gonna create a full original team, with suits, mechas, weapons, monsters, or 2) they are giving up, and they gonna sell the brand to another owner. Or 3) I don't have any idea. Probably they gonna rest on the franchise for years, like MASK? I hate Hasbro. I SAID IT. I don't care.

I don't have any hope. Specially with Hasbro being in a precarious position right now.
