Wicz frowns, scratching his neck uncomfortably by the teasing. "Actually his mouth helped us tonight. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't survive at all." He defends his friend.
"You're a kind young man, Master Wicz." Alfred turned to Chris with his supplies, beginning to wrap the young man's head. "But dare I say, things could have been easier tonight if your energy was diverted from your sharp tongue to your fighting capabilities and perhaps this concussion could have been avoided." The old butler was able to spot the injury quickly, With all of his years of treating Bruce, the Bat family and the occasional league member after a team up, he's pretty much seen them all.

"True, however, we are still young bloods, Al. If it wasn't for that power upgrade we got and Bruce on another incident, I'm not sure if we would have survived for much longer. I'm sure you've read SportsMaster's file. Dude is legit tough. Hell, Pyg was a walk in the park. We tried everything at least what I could think of. He had a plan for everything. Make's you doubt yourself, you know? I mean I'm not brain smart, definitely not calculating. I'm doing my best to learn every day." Chris said as Al was doctoring him up. "I did what I could." Chris said as he hung his head.

"And you did." Wicz gently pats Chris's back, mindful of his injuries. "Look, you cheered me up earlier so it's my turn to cheer you. We're a team, and we're lucky to have each other, especially you."

"Most of Master Bruce's young partners weren't naturally gifted in terms of strategy and mental prowess on the battlefield in the beginning either. While I'm sure it will come in time, so don't lose your spirit but don't stunt your personal growth and make your journey harder than it has to be." Alfred smiled.

"I'm sorry about teasing you but I thought we could use some levity after that fight we had," Carrie said. She put her hand carefully on his shoulder. "We wouldn't have come out of it in one piece if you hadn't fought him by yourself while Wicz and I were trying to figure out how to help."

"I guess I am useful for something else besides a hat rack." Chris said as he gingerly got off from the examining table once the first aid was done. "So what's the prognosis? Take two and call me in the morning?" Chris said as he tried to laugh but his ribs said otherwise.

"I guess I am useful for something else besides a hat rack." Chris said as he gingerly got off from the examining table once the first aid was done. "So what's the prognosis? Take two and call me in the morning?" Chris said as he tried to laugh but his ribs said otherwise.
"If only a prescription could solve that problem with your mouth." Alfred chuckled. The remainder of the night was spent with the wily old butler treating the trio and nursing them back to reasonable health. The young Rangers finally made a breakthrough of sorts with the addition of Super Dino Mode to their arsenal and taking down one of the League's best assassins but with the victory also comes additional pressure. The Demon's Head will not take kindly to this annoyance for the stronger they become, it's gives the Black Ranger less incentive to become his heir. The battles are sure to get tougher from here and it's going to take all four Rangers to defend Gotham and stop whatever the League of Assassins has to offer.
*********************
Some times has passed since the battle against Sportsmaster. The four Rangers continued to hone their skills, keeping Gotham safe with the extra man power. The road wasn't always smooth but with time, training, and patience, things were definitely becoming more manageable. But with crime fighting, there must also be time to live and enjoy life; words spoken by Dick Grayson, Bruce's first partner and first Robin. Bruce sent the trio away for the day to enjoy some time for themselves and tend to their own devices while he had some fun of his own... in the Batcave...in front of the computer... examining the white dino gem while he had the place to himself.
"Still nothing..." Bruce stared at the white gem, caught in a confusing predicament. The white gem hadn't chosen its new owner in the months that he's had it in his possession nor did he have anyone that came to mind that he could try to assign the gem to that was willing to work with him. For now, all he could do was to keep working and eventually, the solution would come to him.
***
While the Rangers opted for an off-day, the League never sleeps. A new crop of assassins were being trained under the watchful eye of Talia Al Ghul, fortifying their armies for the battles ahead. She walked up and down the line, meticulously keeping watch, critiquing every move that the new Assassins made for the was a perfectionist as a teacher and would not stand for the league's reputation being sullied by second rate assassins.

Chris had went for his morning run like usual. He then decided to the park and practice with a kendo stick with not only his sword-fighting skills but also his martial arts as well. Chris didn't want what had happened to him against sportsmaster happen again. After that event, he had been studying double time and training just as hard.

“—and I don’t know, I just… that was it, for me.”
Wicz stares up at the sky, feeling the grass tickle at the back of his neck as the clouds move slowly above him. “I opened up to the others. Or I blurted, at least.” He tries to continue, but he just can’t find a good way to say it. “A-and I thought they were pissed at me, o-or at least… I thought myself to believe. But they're all—they're all okay with me being like that. They did told me that this was reality and not imagination, and I just didn’t know how to do that. Because I've seen reality too many times from school to my place. Hell, even my childhood nightly ventures, I seen those, and I didn’t—” I didn’t want to let go of my imagination. He doesn’t say that. It’s too embarrassing to admit that allowed, especially in the company he’s currently keeping. “Eventually I brought up about you and that’s when they’re pissed at me for breaking the code and putting you in a dangerous situation. I-I didn’t meant to but what more can I do? Like you- you know, mean a lot to me.”
There’s no answer for a while. Wicz can imagine what Dodo might say, or his imaginary pals. But Dodo’s at home and his pals are left with their own devices. So it’s just him and Draven at the park. The Red Ranger can see how much his best friend struggles with putting that sympathetic ear due to his uneasy upbringings. Besides that and his rocky relationship with his mother, the only solace he has is either school or at Wicz’s place. Maybe Wicz could have talked with someone else, but Draven is here and trustworthy and Wicz can do a lot worse, too.
“So do you think less of me?” He tries to keep his voice neutral, as if he's commenting on the shape of the clouds.
“No,” Draven answers readily enough, shifting in the grass to make himself more comfortable. “Did you expect me to?”
“N-not really?” It comes out too hesitant for Wicz to simply brush it off. “Maybe. I don't know. I guess I thought you’re regretting this, if the answer was no.” He hesitates. “So you don't think telling them about you is a bad thing?”
“That's not what you asked.”
Wicz cranes his neck to look at him. “It isn’t?”
“I don't know what brought you up for it, or why it’s necessary,” Draven tells him. “I signed up for it. I never told a soul. I can protect myself, so that's fine. You know better than anyone. But you asked me if I thought less of you for it, and I don't.”
“True. I guess there comes a time where you’re in a situation like this, you have to come clean. Even if it’s accidental,” Wicz admits.
“I’m glad you told me,” Draven replies, simple as that. He pauses, and Wicz finally shifts over to see his friend sitting with his knees to his chest, picking at the grass at his feet. “Though—” He hesitates again. “If things were different, would you still do it?”
Wicz huffs out a laugh and sits up, wincing when cool air touches his back. “In a heartbeat.”

Carrie and the others had been working so hard and she was excited to finally have a day off. She slept in and then had a leisurely breakfast. She took a shower and got dressed. Heading into town she went to her favorite coffee place and grabbed her usual mocha latte. It was near the park so she decide to go for a stroll.

Back at Nanda Parbat, the new Assassins continued to train under Talia's watchful eye. As the new recruits were being put through their paces, one in particular stood. One assassin seemed to gain the advantage over his comrades with ease. "Ha! Come on now, my dude! This is too easy!" The young man in question was Adrian Steele. He was recruited from Gotham City where he was a part of one of the many gangs who tried to get a foothold in Gotham. During his training, he stood out because of great athleticism but it was that same athleticism that hindered his growth in terms of technique. While he was no slouch in combat, he often let his natural instinct take over versus not working harder to abide by the teachings of the League. "You." Talia stopped in front of Adrian, pointing at him. "What's up?" Adrian took a few steps forward. "No. It is yes, Lady Talia or how may I be of assistance? What's up is for commoners?" "It's just a response. No need to trip." Adrian chuckled. The other assassins were silent, each of them looking at each other, knowing that they Adrian screwed up. "Perhaps a lesson in humility is in order. You may learn a thing or two." Talia smirked. "Is that right? If you teach me something now, I'll teach you something later on tonight." Adrian winked as he swayed from side to side, getting into a fighting. "Once I humble, I'll add addition time onto your schedule for you to learn how to speak to women." Talia got into a fighting stance, ready to make an example out of the newcomer.

Chris continued to train until he couldn't go anymore. That was when he decided to take a break and read one of the books that he had borrowed from the library at the mansion about discipline and better technique. Figured it wouldn't hurt none if he borrowed as he sat under the tree and began reading as he sipped on some water.

After awhile Carrie took a seat on one of the benches. She smiled as she watched some children running around shrieking with laughter. Taking a sip of her coffee her gaze wandered and she spotted Chris sitting under a tree. Getting up she walked across the grass and headed for the tree. "Hey Chris," she said.

Chris stopped reading as he seen Carrie walk up to him. "Hey, what brings you here?" Chris said as he put the book down as took another sip of water. Looked like Carrie was taking advantage of the day off as well.
