I loved that! I feel bad for Kite because he truly loved Ivy but the last few episodes shit on him so much he started seeing the "bigger picture" reflected in his friends, King Shark's marriage ("HOw many times did you propose?" "Uh...just the once." in 2x09), and his vows at the wedding. Dude knew he was just a tool and decided he was done. Kinda reminds me of early s1 Harley, getting away from Joker and finding her own place but with a lot more heartache.
I gotta be honest, the entire voice cast is amazing and I love every single voice. I really didn't think I was going to like Kaley Cuoco as Harley, but she did a hell of a lot better then Melissa Rauch did. Lake Bell is so much fun as Ivy and I can't get enough. She's up there with Tasia Valenza from the Arkham and Injustice franchises for me as a defining Ivy. JB Smoove, Run Funches, Alan Tudyk (who I swear is obligated to be in most of DCUs programming since he's in HQ, Doom Patrol, and Young Justice), Tony Hale, they are all amazing. Even the big names as a lot of the bad guys make me grin, like I didn't think Alfred Molina as Mr. Freeze could work but damn if I didn't want more of him.

I also liked that Harley had faith Kite would calm down...she had become more accepting of him and was willing to respect Ivy's choices. Real maturity, which Ivy points out at the end.

I did a rewatch of the episode because honestly, first thing this morning i was too busy laughing my ass off at everything going on, and i picked up on a kind of subtle joke when Harley and Ivy are escaping in the car. Harley: Where's the damn exit!? Ivy: This is why I didn't want to get married here! The parking lot's a damn maze! They're at the Gotham City Old Corn Factory. Corn mazes are an autumn staple. (and y'know, corn=Maize...) I love the goddamn humor on this show.

I'm happy for it's fans. My own thoughts are a little mixed as I have no stock in the Harley/Ivy endgame and all indications are it's full steam ahead on that now with no chance of Ivy getting back with Kite, which annoys me..but I'm sure they'll have moments together still which I can spin into a few potential fanfics where they do patch things up, so...yay for creativity I guess.

The trailer does give the impression Harley is more into this relationship than Pam is, but maybe that's me, a known critic of the pairing, reading what I want to into it.
DC keep breaking these two up in the comics because, narratively their a dead end, so we'll see if this series can break the traditional pitfalls of a post-"they did it" season.
At least Batman/Catwoman is getting some representation.

I had the same thoughts on how season two began and end. Now, I don't even want to see season three.
