Sigh...
This episode could have been a 5, or at least a 4.5, but once again the writers fall back on the scatalogical humor, which will always make an episode significantly worse. Why Chip? Why do you do this? Or if it's not your idea why don't you put a stop to it?
And then there's the Prism, which really should be renamed the Flying Deus Ex Machina. The way it can just magically save the day no matter the problem is really annoying. I like that it got destroyed though, should make things more interesting for the Super season.
Brody electing to destroy his Power Star was actually pretty cool. Again, it would have been nice if they gave more of an explanation to how it can just regrow in to three whole stars, cuz now I wonder why don't they all just do that and create a team of 18 rangers?
It's great that Mick's a ranger, and Dane returning is also cool. I wish theywould give them special names we could call them instead of just Red Ranger 2 and Red Ranger 3.
Odius finally making her move against Galvanax was awesome, as was her subsequently getting clobbered by an asteroid. The rangers having to take on Giant Galvanx without their zords was also cool, and I liked their final attack but it was weird how Sarah was like "The star looks just like us when we do Some Attack We've Never Done Before!"
Their powers being destroyed was an unexpected twist. I'm interested to see how that plays out next year.
Just like episode 1 was a retread of Dino Charge's premiere, I feel like the big cliffhanger was just a redo of the final Dino Charge scene, but it was still cool. Odius was easily the best baddie all season so I'm excited to see her take the reins. When was the last female Big Bad? Lightspeed?
