False.

Insiders say Cara Dune wasn’t part of the Star Wars series next up, a Boba Fett spinoff, but expect that the character will be recast down the road, for both story and merchandising reasons. A source at Lucasfilm says that a recasting is not expected, however.

Ah didn't see it was updated. But still I wouldn't be surprised if character gets recast at a later time. Way more easier to just recast the role. Then coming up with a totally new character. But we will see what comes of the character.
