*sigh!* Great, now I am starting to feel even more of an idiot because of the fact that I don't even know if any of the writers or the show producers even care about wanting to make continuity in Power Rangers so important or not. Simply because of what I said before, many of us take continuity and consistency in this franchise very seriously and that we wanted everything to be apart of one single universe. Instead of this "expanded multiverse" or whatever. But, honestly, at this point...I just don't know what is even cannon and what isn't cannon in Power Rangers or what's even real or not, or if any of the characters from the past seasons of Power Rangers are actually in-character in their brief appearances of the Neo-Saban era or if they're just acting out-of-character because of how toned down they came out as, since Super Megaforce. And it just really worries me because if this is how Saban Brands is treating the legacy of Power Rangers, nowadays. By not keeping the past characters as they once were in their seasons, but a bit more mature and more experienced, and just immediately watering down their personalities for no reason, then I don't want to support this new route for the franchise. It's just like how Book 2 of the Legend of Korra ended, with the main villains from that season killing off Rava and severing Korra's connections to her past incarnations. That's like a big middle finger to anyone who actually wants to acknowledge that the past does matter and why it's important to know about it. I don't want to ignore the past, I want to remember and embrace it as a part of my personal history as well as it being a part of future generations' lives as well and how it's important for them to know about the history behind their predecessors. That's why I will never look at that season the same way again.
But here, I just don't know what is even happening in the main Power Rangers universe, continuity-wise after Jungle Fury ended. I mean, does the Neo-Saban era seasons even want to be a saperate continuity or not?! Because I know that we're gonna have yet another forced anniversary team-up in Super Ninja Steel where they tried to act like the past does matter, but they're just bringing back these "old" Power Rangers actors just to shut up the nostalgic fans about wanting a more "perfect" anniversary team-up since the last one was such a huge disappointment (Super Megaforce's Legendary Battle). But what I am more concerned about is this, regardless of who is being selected to return as part of the "veteran" rosters of the team-up, are the Ninja Steel rangers even gonna be aware of the fact that there are more teams of Power Rangers that existed way before them, like in "Once A Ranger", or is it gonna be like how it was in "Mega Mission" of Megaforce with Emma asking about "what this ranger deal is", even thouh, she should've already known that Power Rangers do exist if Megaforce/Super Megaforce is even a part of the main Power Rangers universe?!

Personally I take its all one universe minus the for the fact ones we know is different in new movie, old movie and tpm. And the rest same deal with rpm have access to main universe. Yes it be nice if there was more connections for us super geeky fans to oodle over like say cwtv DC shows, or the mcu films and shows. But that does lead to problems when something been going 20 plus year and like I pointed out we have had loads of writers and producers on this franchise and really it's like I said up to them how much they want to nod the past or not. As for little things like jabs at are rangers real I wouldn't get in a tiff at it being oh no everything is not connected.

PR post-In Space pretty much been wanting to have it's cake and eat it too. IE They can make each season stand on their own while still insisting it's still the same world via team-ups and references. It's nothing new. And really, it's only been Dino Charge that went completely out of it's way to avoid referencing past seasons as Ninja Steel gave us a Eltar references in The Adventures of Redbot.

Personally I've always figured that MMPR-SPD was one continuity thanks to Legacy of Power and Tommy being a major part of Dino Thunder, as well as the SPD Rangers meeting the Dino Thunder team on TWO occasions (the episodes History and Wormhole) and then everything after being their own seperate continuities or smaller universes.
Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive to me are another continuity altogether since Overdrive used one of Fireheart's scales to power the Defender Vest, but then episodes like Once A Ranger happen where it says "Hey, look who's all canon in this show's history!" with Xander, Adam, Kira, Bridge, and Tori (though to me, OAR is a seperate thing all on it's own with no real ties to the rest of the season.).
Jungle Fury exsists in it's own little bubble in the Rangerverse, IMHO. RPM was it's own universe, though the "team up" with Scott with the Samurai Rangers throws that idea into question. Super Megaforce kind of says "Every past Ranger team has happened in this world" with the Legendary Rangers and the guest appearances, and Dino Charge and Ninja Steel are their own things, especially with DIno Charge's ending being "Look at the dinosaurs!!!!!!"
Not that it has much bearing on the topic, but the "Each season is its own seperate universe" idea is how I get around using certain Ranger characters when I'm writing my fanfics or my RPGs.

Fang that thinking doesn't work with oo team up for 15th anni. Again unless stated on screen or by show runners. I would and what Saban folks likely go is everything is all the same universe and continuity. Besides as i brought up old movie, new movie and rpm though rpm has access to travel to prime universe. Like cd sa post in space full on continue story and events just became less of a thing. As show focused just on new team and nods and winks to past became less of a thing besides anni stuff. Just cause things are not talked about or whacky time travel adventures or what not happen which happened in many series in past mind you. Doesn't mean oh everything is a new and different universe.

That's why I prefaced my post with "To me" and "IMHO".
HOnestly, what if everything was connected though? MMPR-Jungle Fury are one timeline uninterupted followed by Samurai, Megaforce, Dino Charge, and Ninja Steel, and then RPM happens since we see that Corinth City is in the middle of an apocolyptic wasteland, and then the year 3000 part of Time Force. Like it's all connected but not linear with RPM being in the middle of JF and Samurai. And hell, the RPM Ranger Keys could be explained away by the MOrphing Grid knowing what the Megaforce Rangers would need.
It's all fan speculation anyway, and until there's something "Offical" that says "This is how continuity works for Power Rangers" it's not like it really matters in the long run especially since Disney barely recognized anything pre-Ninja Sorm until Legacy of Power with the video diary and Once A Ranger with Adam being there.

Again it's pretty darn simple to explain things. New movie and 90s theatrical film are there own two different universes and not in TV show continuity. Then we got mm through jf, and samurai thru now the main universe as we know as Saban treats it and the various nods winks and crossover stuff we have had through the show. Then we have the rpm universe which is it's own universe but has access to the mm-jf/samurai-now main universe. How hard is that for folks to get.
It's pretty simple from official stance of Saban and what show has stated in show. Now sure post in space the continued storyline and characters elements has lessen. And just cause this or that isn't always talked about doesn't mean oh its a different universe. It's just like comics for example your DC or marvel everything is all one big main universe then you got side universes to play in. But in main universe not every character books will be bringing up elements and stuff from the team and event stuff all the time. It's really dependent on the writers and what type of story they want and if they want to toss nods to past things.
