I would love either Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror) or Amando Innochi (Avenue 5 and Veep) to take over as showrunner

I made my position on that scene clear when it aired (I liked it), but I understand why people would have been offended. I've never personally dealt with cancer in my family's life, I'd probably relate otherwise. As someone with autism, I struggle with social awareness, so the Doctor/Graham thing spoke to me
Plus, as a 'shipper, it was a lot of fun picking the scene apart looking for the slightest hints of shiptease, I just about managed it, largely in part to Graham's reactions. Doc totally wants him.

Episode 8 has aired, setting the stage for the finale.
One or two little niggles that provide food for thought like the ghosts (I like to call moments like this, "Penguin's Monacles", after something that occurs in a Batman comic from the Silver Age designed to befuddle him, but ultimately has no importance to the overall situation) , it was full of atmosphere, dialogue that wasn't just basic. We got perhaps a little hint Yaz might like The Doctor, The Doctor shooting down romantic advances from Byron. There were hints of Classic Who in this with concepts lifted from Castrovalva. The baby being described as weak by the Cyberman is also a nod to history and the tragic story of Shelly's young children, several of which died at young ages.
So the Lone Cyberman gets what he wants, and it's off to the future to stop him next week!

I found a Missy with a Cyberman this weekend! And a friend of mine was dressed as my Birth Doctor/Ten's Father-In-Law.

Interesting episode. I liked the stuff with Shelleys and that lord guy. The cyber man was creepy and interesting that he wasn't all formed. And let's see how the doc and the gang fixes the mess they caused.

How would everyone here feel about Hayley Atwell as the Doctor?

i do like her as actress. But do you think when ever c and jodi leave they will do another woman back to back? possible they do that. But i wouldnt be surprised if they go back to a dude. Probably a ethnic guy like they did to master. Which i was expecting before we got female doc.

The action was good from the outset, The Doctor losing a lot more, thought the pacing slowed to a crawl afterwards, which hurt the main plot.
I loved the bits with Brendan, a real Ashes to Ashes series three vibe to that, this is probably The Doctor's origin, it explains the police box shape of the TARDIS, he was a police officer.
Good Earthshock vibes too.
