Power Rangers: Nitro Blaze (Game)

Lenny kept on fighting the Raizers, throwing one across the road and kicking another, "Dammit, these things just keep coming and coming!" he called, pulling out his switchblade and striking the grunts with all of his might. "If this is one of Zephyr's ways to kill me, then he has another thing coming!"

As a switchblade did little against mutant henchmen, they Raizers continued to swarm Lenny, the mystery man appeared and suddenly, Lenny couldn't move his hand, allowing Raizers to get in brutal shots.

"Looks like someone bet on the wrong horse." The man casually took a bite out of a potato chip, smirking as he watched the Raizers beat down on Lenny.

"Let me go!" Lenny cried out as he tried to fight off the Raizers but his hand couldn't move and Raizers began to beat on him. He tried to use his strength to fight back but grunts had overpowered him. "Dammit... I can't... it's too much...," he groaned while the beating continued, ultimately about to meet death, until suddenly, Jaguar returns, running into the fight, throwing punches, kicking the Raizers, pulled one Raizer off. "Get away from him, you pieces of shit!" he shouted out, his New Orleans accent present as he punched another Raizer and kicked another.

"J-Jaguar!?" Lenny exclaimed as he was seen nearly bloodied and the former SPD Yellow Ranger helped him up, but he slapped his hand away.

"Are you okay?" Jaguar asked, looking worried but Lenny punched him again, sending him staggering back. "YOU FUCKING... why the fuck would you come back!? I told you to leave!"

"And what? Leave you to get beaten to death?" Jaguar shot back, wiping the blood from his nose. "Do you even know how many Raizers are there?"

"It doesn't matter. Just go, I can handle them myself! I've been doing shit alone and I can still do it! I don't need a traitor like you!" Lenny shot back but before he could say anything, Jaguar rushed up to him, looking him straight in the eye while punching another Raizer.

"Traitor? You think I betrayed you? When you know damn well that I was out there putting my life on the line to protect you from DRAGO? From Prometheus?" he asked, sounding angry and hurt. "Do you not realize how much I fucking care? How much I want to be there for you?"

Lenny growled and headbutted another Raizer, "No, you don't! Did you not forget? Our promise that we look out for each other?" he shouted back before kicking another Raizer. "Or was it just lip service so you can go play police officer with your SPD friends?"

"It is not lip service, Len. I did remember that promise, I wanted to be by your side and help you get the aid you need. But I knew that SPD chose me and I wanted to protect you the best possible way," Jaguar protested back. "Which is why I wanted us to talk, but the timing here is just terrible! I want to let you know how guilty I felt when I saw you again, how you fell into a life of crime, drugs, and weapons, and yet I knew that I wanted to do what was right and I didn't betray you. But I felt responsible for hurting you like that and breaking our promise. And... I'm sorry. I'm sorry for leaving you when we made that promise. I'm sorry for not being there for you when you needed me the most. You were like a little brother I never had and I regret everything."

Jaguar saw a Raizer and quickly threw an uppercut on one Raizer, "But you... at the same time, you were the cause of this too. You had a chance to change for the better, you had the chance to think about what you want to do, what you want that will make your life better. But instead, you chose to go down a path that landed you in jail and you kept living that life! Do you think your "buddies" will be there for you when things go wrong?" he asked.

"Why does it matter to you?" Lenny said before getting pounced by another Raizer and kicked it off of him.

"Because I've been patrolling the streets of Synchro City! And I've met criminals who's been in gangs and neither of them had visited them! They just ditched them when things got out of hand!" Jaguar yelled back, twisting one Raizer by the arm and then kicking it in the stomach.

Lenny froze for a moment, thinking about the phone call earlier, "Len. You can blame me all you want. I deserve the lashing. I do. But you need to learn to take responsibility for your actions and not lash out at others who want to help you. I've accepted my responsibility on my part, and it's time to for you to accept yours."

Gritting his teeth, he growled, "Don't you think I already know that? I'm so angry at you, Jaguar! Angry at everything that has happened to me! And you're right, I fucked up on my part. I had a team that actually cared... but I just can't look at them. I can't! I want to help them, but there's no way they will accept me back! And all honesty, it's probably for the best!" he yelled back as he looked at the numbers of Raizers.

"Never say never, Lenny. But if you think that way, then why don't we finish these assholes off one last time?" Jaguar asked, giving Lenny a reassuring smile.

"Y-yeah," Lenny said as he looked at the grunts. "...and thank you for saving me from getting killed."

Corrie followed her team and caught the arm of the guard coming at her. She twisted flipping him to his back with a punch to the back of the head knocking him unconscious. "You might have a headache when you wake up. My bad." She said walking to join her team again.

"Who said you're out of the woods yet?" Seeing as the man was ignored when he spoke to Lenny before, he made his presence more profound. With a flick of his wrist, he froze both men this time. "Boss man said I'd only have to deal with the scum bag who turned him down. Lucky for you, you're not on my list today, SPD."

A gang of Raizers restrained Jaguar, once again leaving Lenny alone. The mystery man turned his attention back to Lenny. "Once I'm done here, the Rangers are next. I'll be sure to tell them how much of a twat you were at the end." Suddenly, the man felt that familiar sensation, signaling that there was another immortal nearby. He looked around, seeing Methos on the side of the road.

"Give me a second. Gotta take care of some business first. You don't wanna see Lord Drago pissed off."

"Oh, I've made a living pissing him off. Had a feeling he'd send you, Slick."

"So you know me? Well do you know what I can do?" Slick tried to use his psychic power to freeze Methos, but much to the psychic's surprise. "How?! The list of people who can resist my psychic power is shorter than this boy's temper!"

"Good to see I'm still on the list." Methos quipped. He wanted to have a little fun while giving Lenny a small glimpse of his power while allowing Jaguar to encounter the immortal Methos for the first time, which is significant, seeing as Methos had not been on SPD's radar with none of them knowing who he is.

Lenny was shocked to see Methos arrived and was frozen by Slick, "Why did he come here? Hasn't he done enough already?" he asked but before he knew it, he felt a strange wave of power and Jaguar looked up to see Methos for the first time. "W-who...," he said, unable to get the words out.

Methos turned to look at Lenny and couldn't help but chuckle. "You've had quite the eventful day." He said, wanting to give Lenny a minute before saying what he needed to say.

Jaguar was freed and he looked at Lenny, "Just... I want to get this over with," he said and the former SPD Ranger walked up to Lenny, "Listen, Len. You have every right to be angry at me. You don't have to talk to me anymore but don't shut yourself from anyone who does want to help you. Accept your wrongdoings and take it from there. As I said: never say never."

Lenny looked at Jaguar and made him rethink his decision, "Jaguar... I don't... I'm not sure if they want me back," he said. "But I will do what I need to do. If it goes that way, then so be it."

"Amazing that it took all of this for you not to sound like a complete idiot." Methos removed an item from his coat, showing it off as the blue Nitro key. In his other hand was the key to the police car that Lenny was ripped from. "Here's where we are. The way I see it, you have two choices. Option 1, you take these car keys and drive off. If you do this, you're completely on your own. You'll never hear from me or any of the Rangers ever again. Option 2, you take this key and hope that the Rangers forgive you. Keep in mind, no matter what you choose, there's no turning back. If you go back to the Rangers, no more bullshit. You accept whatever heat comes your way." Methos held out his hands with both the car keys and the Nitro key.

"What will it be?" Methos asked, posing the question that will shape the rest of Lenny's life.

It took a while for Lenny to think about what he wanted to do and after thinking about it, he took the key to the police car and threw it on the ground, and then grabbed the Nitro Key. He knew that he was in for a storm, but if he gets chewed out, he will explain his reasoning.

Methos slowly nodded, not saying anything at first, soaking in the choice Lenny made. "Alright then. Off you go." Methos snapped his fingers and Mountain Blaster appeared. "You're roughly 20 miles away. You may want to hurry."

"Right," Lenny said and got on his Mountain Blaster Zord, morphing in the process. The engine revs and he drives off to the Buckingham Palace to finish off the job and face whatever he has to face.

Jaguar watched Lenny drive off and sighed, "I wish I could've been a better friend to you, Len," he said sadly.
