Shift Steel: Rise of the Machines (S2)

Tifa followed Olivier, ready to take on the next challenge. Once the two Rangers arrived, the Red Ranger looked to her Pink counterpart. "I'll show you girls those suits later. I hoped we'd have had enough time," she said with a small smile.

"We'll do our best to get it done. It's not like they're going to mess with our heads again." Olivier tells Tifa with a shrug. Then she meets up with most of her male teammates to face the latest creation from the Machine Empire. "Hold it right there, you bucket-of-bolts!"

Cerebrus chuckled as he turned to face the Rangers. "Well, well. It's about time you all showed up," he said. "My fight's with little Yellow. So the rest of you-"

Jun swallowed hard and gripped onto his Ranger Key, "Shift Up, OPEN THE LOCK!" he called out, entering the key into his morpher and turning it, morphing into the Yellow Ranger, summoning his Shot and Cutlass.

"Sorry I'm late!" Derek emerged, already morphed and flipped into a side kick, sending a nearby Cog flying. "Those kids are more aggressive than Cogs!" Surveying the field, he got a good look at Hardlight.

"Ah, the barrier lady. I see you're out stretching your legs." Derek got into a defensive stance, still in a good mood after getting a chance to hang with the kiddos.

Hardlight chuckled, throwing her ball forward and forming a barrier taht surrounded the Rangers, leaving Jun to face Cerebrus on his own. A shot went past her head, Cole's erratic behavior catching her servos. "Seems the Green Ranger's got soem issues today. I thought he was the collected and calm one while Blue was the impulsive dickhead that didn't listen to orders?" she asked. "Oh, well. He's not my problem." She rushed forward, a hardlight staff appearing in her hands as she went for the Silver Ranger.

Tifa had already morphed, narrowly sidestepping another stray shot from Cole that pinged off of the massive shield. "Cole! Settle down!" she said. "You're going to hurt someone!" She rushed forward, slashing out wiht her Cutlass and aiming for a Cog, seperating it's head from it's shoulders. She kicked the body back, blasting another in the chest.

Jun swallowed hard and gripped onto his Ranger Key, "Shift Up, OPEN THE LOCK!" he called out, entering the key into his morpher and turning it, morphing into the Yellow Ranger, summoning his Shot and Cutlass.

Cerebrus would have smirked if he'd had a mouth. He looked at Jun and held a hand out, motioning the Green Ranger forward. "Coem on, boy. Let's see if you're worthy of that spandex."

"Guess I'm on Barrier Lady duty." Derek called for his Trinity Lance, giving it a good twirl before going into battle against Hardlight, coming in with a flurry of strikes from his Lance in hopes of speeding up the tempo to his liking.

Olivier slashes the Cogs out of her way as she tries to get to her husband. When she sees two Cogs trying to sneak attack him, she rushes over to strike them down before she delivers a spin kick to send another cunning few flying. "But Cole, this won't help your heart heal from losing your parents!" She calls out, inadvertently mentioning this in front of her friends.

For all of Cole's shooting at teh barrier, the shots just ended up richocheting around the area, doing nothing but making more hazards for the Rangers. Occasionally one would hit a Cog, but they weren't doing much damage otherwise.

Tifa, looking at Ken, shook her head. "I can handle myself. If I need your help, I'll ask," she said, using her sword and slashing down a Cog before rushing off to try and get to Cole. "Olivier, focus on the Cogs. I'll get to Cole!" The Red Ranger dodged some rebounding shots, yelling as one hit her in the back. She pushed through and grabbed Cole's gun, aiming it at the ground. "Cole, stop! You're making things very dangerous for us right now!"

Hardlight chuckled, matching Derek blow for blow. Each time the Silver Ranger would strike, she'd return with her own rapid slashes. She dodged a swing and lashed out, a hook forming and grabbing Derek's leg and twisting, yanking the Silver Ranger toward the ground. "You're fast, Silver. But my weapon responds to my will. I think it, it does it."

Jun growled and he charges at Cerberus, swinging his Cutlass at the bot, slashing him across the chest before shooting his rounds at thim.

Cerebrus held his hand out and blocked the sword, the shots pinging off of him before he kicked Jun in the chest. "I don't understand my mistress's obession to seeing you dead. You're hardly worth my time. Unethical, really. I'd have better luck fighting one of your bosses," he said, rushing Jun and punching out, rapidly striking Jun in the chest before grabbing him by the throat and slamming him into the ground.
