"Really? Splendid!" Mateo smiled. He thought it would take more convincing, but thankfully, Lalah was pretty game which made his job super easy. "In that case, come with me and we'll talk specifics about your job."

Samara smiled softly, looking at Lalah. The other girl accepted the offer almost immediately, and it surprised the Western woman. "Surprised you ain't asking a heap of questions," she said, speaking for the first time since walking in. "I'll be honest, you're gonna have them. I know I damn sure did."

"I'll ask the questions where we're outside. The last thing I need are nosy people listening to our conversation." Lalah said to Samara and Mateo. Then she turned away briefly, giving her farewells to her colleagues and friends from a distance, before she focused back to Samara and Mateo. "And now I am ready."

Mateo left with Lalah and Samara. Once they got close, Mateo deactivated the cloaking on the ship and led the two inside.
The TMB agent escorted the ladies onto the ship. "Welcome to The Patricia. This is what they call the bridge. It's where the ship is flown and where I get all of my info about things past and present." He began explaining, knowing that they were still in an era where space ships and time travel were still not a thing yet. "I use this ship to travel all throughout time to protect against threats wish unsavory intentions with my partner, Sensei." Mateo explained.
"You remembered this time!" Sensei's holographic head emerged from the center panel. "Maybe you're more than just a pretty face." She joked, getting a dig into the ship's owner.
"Hey! You leave my pretty face out of this!" Mateo laughed. "As I was saying... I'm putting a team together that I think you'd be perfect for." Mateo said to Lalah.

Samara had found her room again after walkign back onto the ship, changing back into her clothes from home. Something about the "current" dress she had on made her feel too exposed. Walking back onto the bridge, the young woman took a seat, rubbing her hands together softly.

For someone from another time, Lalah handled the new technology quite well due to her curious nature. "Astounding! Who would have thought these machines become revolutionary. So colorful. So life-like." She awed. Then she slowly gazed at Mateo. "So this team you are developing, does this have to do with shaping the future?"

"Yup. We'll be responsible for keeping the peace, traveling through time to make sure life happens like it's supposed to. So yeah, we are shaping the future in that kind of way." Mateo answered the question, feeling good about his growing team.

"Considerin' I asked him if my grave was out there and he said it ain't, I think you'll be fine, darlin'," Samara said, sitting down and looking at Lalah. "Shoot, I'm just a bar girl born in Tombstone. What you done is a hell a lot better then my life."

"I see." Lalah nodded her head in understanding. "When traversing through time, will this impact my existence? I mean, I have family and friends who love me and everything. And what about my career?"
"Well, what happens is..."
"Mateo." Sensei chimed in, cutting Mateo off. "It's probably a good idea to answer that question once you collect the other recruits so you only have to answer the question once."
"Guess you're right." Mateo shrugged, relenting to the AI's advice. "So where to next then?"
"2034. The next person is Ledger Phoenix." Sensei responded, already preparing the ship for the jump into the future.

"I would not say better. I am doing my best." Lalah admitted to Samara with a small smile. Just when she received the answers, Sensei interrupted and explained their next stop. "2034? Ya lahwi! That is almost like a hundred years from now on my end." She rubbed her head, trying to wrap her head around in regards to that year. "How wild it must be."

"Yup! It's only about 20 something years away from when I got picked up." Mateo subtly indicated that like them, he was someone who got recruited into this time agent life. "You get used to it after a while."
Once the order was given, the group took flight towards their next recruit. Mateo gave Lalah the same instructions regarding her room as well as the Synthezier where she can change into more era-appropriate clothing.

Samara followed Lalah, using the machine to get clothes for another time period, this time 2034. The young woman retreated to her room, laying her clothes on the bed and looking at them. "That ain't clothes. It's barely a flour bag," she said, changing into the skirt and shirt combo that she'd chosen, pulling her shoes on.

After learning and practicing the basics from everyone, Lalah used the machine to retrieve a new attire fitting for 2034 and went to her room to change. Upon stepping out with freshly professional clothes, she adjusted her hair as she walked to the bridge. "It's funny how fashion become more appealing and odd simultaneously. I much prefer wearing my own clothes." She sighed.

Shortly after everyone changed, the Patricia landed in the year 2034. Like before, the group stepped off of the ship with Mateo activating its cloaking.
"Ladies, welcome to 2034! If Sensei's data is accurate..."
"IF!?"
Mateo chucked nervously as he pulled out his Chrono Com. "Sorry, it was only for dramatic effect. But yeah, Ledger should be at a softball game with a few innings to go. We should get moving." Unlike the time periods that the girls came from, this one was much more futuristic and seeing someone talking to someone in a hand held device was common.
