"Yeah." Mateo answered. "I know it was bit of a blur during that time I recruited you guys, so no judgment if you forgot." Mateo gently reminded Lalah that both of those questions were answered before their first mission. "But yeah, remember the Vault? I took us all down there to claim your powers and there were the other four unclaimed Energems? That and the Mind Wipe Charger we use after every mission to keep the timeline intact. Sure there are others but we try not to introduce everything all at once so people aren't overwhelmed. Besides, I'm more of a hands on guy myself."
“This makes sense. Who knows what surprises are in store?” Lalah said until her smile faltered. “Sometimes I forgot about the memorandum. I may be the person who is up for a challenge but I can be blind. I should've remembered it."

"Yeah. I wouldn't worry too much. I tune him out all the time." Sensei responded. If she had a human face, she'd be smirking right now.
"Funny, I was just about to say the same thing about you." Mateo shot back in jest.

"Now I know." Lalah snickered lightly. "Alright then, thank you for your help you two. I appreciate it." With that said, she took her leave. Before she could join Samara, she placed her items into her satchel and zipped it up for protection. Then after that, she ran for the water to join Samara, jumping in while she's at it. "Can't miss the fun in the water!"

Samara surfaced, wiping water out of her face and pushing her hair back. "About time," she said with a smile. "Thought you forgot about little ol' me, Lalah!" She playfully splashed the Pink Ranger, smiling as she did.
"No way. I will not let you have all the fun!" Lalah grinned, splashing Samara back. Then she swims around her. "I just need some last minute questions from Mateo in regards to my research. Now that I have it covered, I can focus what I like best." She dived briefly before coming back up. "Fun!"

Ledger nodded, sighing softly. "My sisters got all the encouragement, all the "You can do whatever you set your mind to" bullshit. She looked at me and would say "Eh, you probably won't amount to much". My sisters are a State Senator, a basketball star, and a voice actor in video games. I've luckily been spoiled by those three, and I've got to watch Christine in Senate meetings, been to Jade's tournaments, and actually gotten to meet Jennifer's co-workers on some of these Triple A titles she's worked on. But there's that little part of me that wants to know what I'm destined to do. I know it ain't just being a Time Cop."

"See in my family, my destiny was already chosen. Dad wanted me to be the next in line for the Steele Legacy. His dad did it, my dad did it, he wanted me to do it. Never asked what I wanted. I wanted to be a swordsman. So, I told him go fuck himself once I got older and I went out on my own." Leon stated.

"Told my mom that once," Ledger said,. "I was fourteen, told I wasn't getting to go to a party. Said "Fuck off, I'm going!" next thing i know I'm waking up at the bottom of the stairs cause she smacked the shit out of me and I went flying. Learned never to say that to my mama again. Shit didnt' taste right for three days." He laughed and grinned. "Found out later my mom was taught how to box by my grandpa."

Samara sighed to herself, kicking her feet slowly to stay afloat. "She was...honestly, she was a good woman. When my daddy was alive, she kept the house, raised me, helped him in the gardens and field. She was always cookin' and cleanin', makin' sure I was off at school when I needed to be. But my daddy died in 1890, just a few days before my birthday....and we lost the farm. Tombstone turned into a helltown, and we had to leave. Grew up in Alexandra, and she went to work in the same saloon Mateo found me in. She died about three years ago, now, and...well, some days I wish I could talk to her, get her advice."

"Everyone seems to be getting along. Why not join the fun?" Sensei asked the Red Ranger.
"Admiring the team I put together is fun. I know things were a little rocky to start but slowly they're getting used to each other and that'll help us in the long run. Besides, I need to wait until Leon's blushing goes down. Dude's face is as red as my helmet." Mateo said, sharing a laugh with Sensei.

"That's horrible. No child should ever go through it. " Lalah's heart went out to Samara. While she's forever grateful her parents were alive, she could only imagine the pain she would go if it ever happened. "Your parents may not be here physically, they are here for you in spirit. Where I come from, we find blessings in hardship and the ability to move forward with the help of Indian customs. I went through this when I lost my grandparents several years ago. I learned to find comfort knowing I will see them again from above."

"Fourteen huh? Yeah I can see why that wouldn't sit well with your mom. At least when I did it, I was 18 and when he did try to stop me, let's just say that sleeper hold came in handy real quick." Leon chuckled and then he shook his head. "I'm afraid to say it but, me and you got more in common that we'd like to admit." Leon said as the redness in his face faded away as his focus was on that of the convo he and Ledger were having versus Samara.
