"Perhaps your instincts will take care of the rest. Never know for sure." Lalah said with a small shrug. She gazes from afar, watching Mateo making a conversation with Leon and Ledger working on his swordplay. "What is your impression on the boys so far? They are more interesting than I think the first time meeting them."
Samara looked over, watching the boys. "Mateo is full of energy and clearly loves what we're doing. It makes sense why he's in charge, but I think his smilin's hidin' somethin' under the surface. Seen plenty of boys who like to smile but hide hurt hearts," she said. "Leon and Ledger are similar. Both feelin' like they got somethin' to prove. Leon to his folks and Ledger makin' a name like his sisters. Apparently Ledger's sisters are all famous political and enetertainment figures, and he wants a "peice of that pie" as he put it one day. Leon seems like he's tryin' to break away from his family tradition and ain't nobody on his side from his family."

"I don't know about that." Leon said as he paused the simulation and put down the gun. "Whenever I set my mind to a certain goal, I always make sure my focus is on that one particular thing. Take the sword, for instance. You learn patience, timing, fluidity, and respect. With guns, I never need to learn a firearm cause my sword fighting alone won all my battles. But now that the battleground and opponents have changed, so do I." Leon stated.

"That's a good policy to have." Mateo nodded, liking what he was hearing. "Gun play carries a lot of those same principles that sword play does. Once you get really comfortable with it, it's like an extension of yourself.. I think that's what he said." The Red Ranger chuckled as he remembered his mentor's words.

"Mateo is a unique one. I can tell since the moment we meet. As you mention, a man like him with a bright smile hides something negative. But we don't know for sure. We'll learn more about him at a later time." Lalah said with an eventual small shrug. "Leon and Ledger do have problems carving their own legacies due to their family histories. As someone who once in the same position, it's difficult to not have support from your family in a way. It took my family a while to come around in regards to my goals and I'm the oldest of five siblings." She sighed. "For these boys, it's up to them to figure their dilemma out."

Samara nodded. "And my own problems, bein' the oldest one here. I ain't sure about myself and I know some of my words and phrases throw all y'all off. Older'n all of you," she said with a smile.

"In time, I'm sure it will be an extension. It's just in my time, guns have caused a lot of gang wars. Blood feuds. The idea of seeing my father keep a gun in his vehicle over the years caused me to have a distaste for it. But him being a bad guy in wrestling, no one in my era could separate fact and fiction. Everyone thought it was real because my dad played one of the best bad guys in the business and if you add that with the gangs and feuds, it was double trouble. I remember when I was young, my dad was in a story line where he blinded another wrestler. Well, there was one night where my father in the ring and the blind wrestler was sitting ringside with dark shades on. Sat their motionless, playing the gimmick. This wrestling fan drew a gun on the side of the blind guy's head and said "Don't worry! I'll get him for ya!"... Had the cops not shown up, my dad could have been dead. So yeah. Just a distaste for it." Leon stated.

"I'm not confused with your words. In fact, I appreciate your language." Lalah responded. "I only have to translate my language with you all since I spent several years of my life living on other side of the world along with living with my parents. I can be come off as condescending if I speak in my native language. On a positive note, it doesn't end with someone being pepper sprayed. Just agree to disagree."

Samara chuckled and nodded. "I seen all kinda people. My town gets all sorts, so I seen traders, swindlers, cheats and crooks, but this little group of ours ain't nothin' I ever experianced before. Especially the differences in our background and histories. To the boys, I'm nothin' but bones in the ground. I'd like to hope when this is over that I'm still alive and kickin' and can be around to see your time with my own eyes," she said.

"I definitely get it. Growing up in the late 80s, early 90s, Lucha Libre was IT. Couple that with all of the gang violence and I understand where you're coming from. Even in the late 2010s/early 20s when things shifted to more of a reality type era, you still had people who couldn't separate real life from the work those wrestlers put in but it wasn't quite as bad but gun violence is gun violence no matter what era. Unfortunately, you won't see it really go away for a few hundred years from when you came from."
Mateo began to reminisce a bit from his youth, remembering the matches and also remembering the gang violence his parents did their best to shield him through. Hearing Leon talk about wrestling also made Mateo think about one of his earlier missions when he visited a time period where his predecessor wrestled a giant monster named Vile K Menace but opted not to touch on it for now.

"So do I, even though the closest thing I ever have in a time gap is Mateo, and it's all because we're from the 20th century. Ledger possibly, but I am not sure about this will work." Lalah mused, her eyes continue to set on the boys. "We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, we'll teach the youngsters a thing or two on how we run our ways."

"One of the main reasons I have security cams and I stay to myself." Leon stated as he picked up the firearm and resumed his training as his shots were getting cleaner and more precise.

"Well none of that staying to yourself with us. Captain's orders!" Mateo laughed. "Seriously though, I've seen heroes who were loners and it wasn't healthy for them. Brennan, Hiei, Eddie Morrison. They were all strong but their power and general happiness really took off when they loosened the reins a bit."

"Maybe in time. But as for now? I'm just learning how you guys operate. I've always been a lone wolf. Been that way ever since I confronted my father about not going into the family business." Leon stated as he kept firing at the targets.

"That's cool. Butttttttt, you can't learn how we operate if you're off by yourself." Mateo flashed a cheeky grin. "If you're really trying to get good at shooting, I bet Sam could show you a thing or two. It's killing two birds with one stone!" He finished with his optimism on display.
