"How generous. Thank you, Sensei." Lalah appreciated Sensei's act of kindness. "Good thing we have the needed comfort. It has been a long day full of excitement and adventure."

The Rangers all retreated back to their rooms, save for Mateo who sat in his captain's chair, looking out into the distance and letting out a sigh. "You did good, today. Everything didn't go to shit and your team is back in one piece." Sensei offered encouragement while Mateo was on the Bridge. "He'd be proud of your work." "I still have to be better. I owe it to the team and I owe it to him." Mateo said, briefly referring to his mentor. Gone was the near chaotic energy he showed during his recruitment of the other Rangers. "You'll get there. We all will." "Yeah.. I hope so." Mateo said. During a quiet moment between the two, the Red Ranger and the AI were able to reflect on today and look forward to their future which hopefully led to victory against this new threat that they still had no real data on. **** One month has passed since the battle against Calen in 2022. The Rangers were brought to the Time Masters Bureau, a place that existed outside of the timeline. The Rangers spent a month training and getting accustomed to the rules of the TMB. For Mateo, he was moving around wearing a few different hats, ranging from training with the other Rangers in terms of the basics of their teamwork to working with Sensei on finding more data on their new enemy. Currently, he was socializing with some Senior Agents, watching the Rangers endure their individual training.

In the month since becoming Rangers, Samara had found herself doing more and more training with her morpher, quickly getting used to the guns capabilities and what it could do in her hands. Most days found herself on the firing range, practicing for several hours at a time. The Black Ranger sighed as she lowered her morpher, wiping her face and taking a drink of water.
"All this is so odd. Ain't like nothin' I ever dreamt up as a girl," she said. "Do kinda miss my mama, though. Wonder if she'd be proud of what I was doin', or if she'd be madder then a hornet's nest at me usin' a gun." She looked around, seeing her new team working on their own skills.
Ledger, having been focused on his swordplay, dodged holographic enemies and cut them down when he got close, spinning and jumping around to avoid getting hit. The Blue Ranger found himself easily the most amused and invested in everything going on, and he loved every aspect of the training, even if some of it was tougher then he'd admit. He dodged and yelped as he got hit in the back, hitting the floor and sighing.
"Ah, man. That run was going good, too!"

In a month followed, Lalah handled her new role very well along with acclimating with her new companions. Currently, she practiced her acrobatics to help with her agile body. That along with swordplay and shooting range helped her to be on the same par with her team, something she'd like because of the challenges. As soon as she completed her trial, she wiped the sweat off her face as she walked to the bench. "Well, this is a good workout."

In the month that followed, Leon was put through rigorous training with firearms and precision shooting. Something he was severely lacking as he preferred swords to guns but he was getting better as time went on. "Not my style, but I guess it's needed. Not gonna question it." Leon stated as he continued to shoot at targets.

While watching the Rangers train individually, Mateo continued to speak to Senior Agents who were also enjoying seeing the new recruits get broken in.
"You got this, guys! Keep it up!" Mateo cheered on his teammates.
"That's a helluva collection ya got there." A fellow agent spoke with a heavy country accent.
"Thanks. We'll be even better whenever that dude shows up again." Mateo smiled.
"Speaking of better, your senior is supposed to be here today. Maybe your team can meet the guy who handed you the keys to the castle." Another agent spoke, throwing shady comments at the Red Ranger. Although most agents were supportive, you had your few that weren't fond of Mateo's rise through the ranks and being hand picked by the TMB's greatest agent and also the Silver Ranger.
"That's the plan, after he has some fun with your mom." Sensei spoke up through Mateo's Chrono Com, earning some snickers from other senior agents, including Mateo.
The agent who was insulted merely rolled his eyes and walked away, leaving the others to laugh. If there was one thing about the sassy AI, she was fiercely protective of her Mateo, even if she relentlessly gave him a hard time.

As soon as Lalah finished sipping some water from her hydro flask, she lowered it as she went over to Samara. "How is your shooting practice coming along, Samara?"

Samara lowered her weapon, looking at Lalah and smiling. "Doin' good so far. Had a little experiance back home, course back there was a shotgun that ain't need much aimin'," she said. "Still tryin' to get used to all this, y'know?"

"Yes. I am as well." Lalah replied. "I am still adjusting to this weapon. It's different than with my pepper spray. At least I am able to improve my hand-to-hand combat. This and my pepper spray, helps me deal with ignorant folks back home. It's not a pleasant time."

"I just had to use my wits," Samara said. "Bein' in what y'all'd call the "old west" just meant I had guns and my own two hands. Outside this, I ain't have no trainin'."

"I don't disagree. These kinds of exercises is different than what you and I are used to. Although I do know about karate because of my younger brother." Lalah said, rubbing her chin in thought. "I haven't studied these new forms of fighting because it's overwhelming to practice outside my comfort zone."

Leon continued to go through the gun training, getting more comfortable with the blaster as time went on. He then paused to take a quick break to re focus before going back to target shooting.

After getting his fill of watching with Senior Agents, Mateo made his way down to the training area himself, opting to visit Leon who was focusing more on shooting versus his normal swordplay.
"You look like you're having fun." Mateo walked in, watching Leon up close.

Samara nodded, rubbing her hands together. "Tryin' to learn all this fancy new stuff ain't doing much for me. Never been a book learnin' kinda gal," she said. "Ain't never had reason for it. It's just very overwhelmin' and I ain't sure how much of it I'm gonna remember in the long run."

"Perhaps your instincts will take care of the rest. Never know for sure." Lalah said with a small shrug. She gazes from afar, watching Mateo making a conversation with Leon and Ledger working on his swordplay. "What is your impression on the boys so far? They are more interesting than I think the first time meeting them."
