Well just got home from my my showing. I really enjoyed the film. I thought rainn did a very good job with it. It didn't to me just feel like a rehash like folks said about awakens and jj. It was a good build up with the syory. And I thought all the big players had some solid character development and scenes. Rose and fun was a fun couple and enjoyed there scenes on the destroyer and the casino planet. Pie had some great scenes too with leia, the general lady and the others. Rey, kyli, and Luke also some great scenes. I totally loved seeing ghost Yoda and frank Oz voicing him. It was also great it was puppet Yoda and not just fully cgi yoda. And holy hell that space scene with leia was a total shocker. And loved the showdown with Luke and kyli and the first order. That was a wicked part of film. And the twist of what Luke was doing was great there. As for Rey I really hope there more to her then what we where told of her past. And I am totally curious to see what they do with leia for ep 9. Plus what role Luke will have in 9. All in all very enjoyable film. And my theater laughed and cheered throughout the film.

I just saw The Last Jedi earlier this afternoon. It was....alright. It had it's funny moments and the more dramatic ones when it needed it. Since it's still new I'll avoid a lot of spoilers, but I thought it was alright. If Andy Serkis doesn't get an Oscar for his role as either Cesear from Planet of the Apes or Snoke this year, I'm going to be very pissed.
Daisey Ridley, Oscar Issac, and John Boyega continue to be my favorite part of the new trilogy. Seeing Poe get knocked down a few pegs by Leia and the other admiral was good. Rey on Ach-to with Luke was beautifully shot from all angles. I'm glad we got some resolution about her parents, and if you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. Everything with Finn and Rose was so much fun, from the casino chase to everything with Benicio Del Toro's character was always fun to see.
I had a feeling the ending with Luke was going to happen the way it did. From our surprise Jedi Master cameo to the way a lot of the dialogue was written, I had a feeling about what was going to happen at the end. Honestly, that lightsaber fight near the end is going to become one of my favorite fights in the entire franchise, just below Obi-Wan and Anakin on Mustafar and the Battle of Geonosis. All in all, I'm glad I saw it, I'll probably add it to my DVDs when it comes out.
And I think my ranking of the 8 main movies so far would be:
1: Empire Strikes Back 2: Revenge of the Sith 3: The Force Awakens 4: Attack of the Clones 5: The Last Jedi 6: The Phantom Menace 7: The Return of the Jedi 8: A New Hope

Just had seen the movie today, it was very awesome and an epic continuation to The Force Awakens and I am now looking forward to Solo: A Star Wars Story.
