Repost from the previous forum:
What if Saban decided not to skip ToQger and adapted as Power Rangers Express Force for 44 episode 2 season cycle, still shot in New Zealand and aired on Nickelodeon. Would be better TV ratings than Ninja Steel right now (around 1-2 million viewers) and better toy sales in the market*? What could be the challenges had the show was not skipped? Could there be a possible over budget scenario just like RPM season?
*Note: Some sources said that ToQger's TV ratings and toy sales were better than Ninninger in Japan.

Unfortunately, Trains were not popular in America unlike in Japan, this was one of the factors contributing to Ressha Sentai ToQger getting skipped.

Considering the writing team responsible for Ninja Steel and it's unsurprising decline, if we got ToQger instead of Ninninger we still would've got a badly written, mediocre season.
Also trains aren't that popular in western audiences although it's funny that although the shows theme is less attractive, it had better toy sales than the one that was or should've have been more popular.

I agree with PotatoKing on this one. I mean, we're going to expect any huge resolution that "OH GOODIE!!! Saban is going to back to adapting every sentai series like in the past!" It's still to be the exact same response that many of us are giving to Ninja Steel...."We hate bad weiting, it's so mediocre!, etc" That why we've been having such an issue about this new writing staff under Judd "Chip" Lynn's new direction as soon as Dino Super Charge began. Now it's like maybe we really shouldn't be asking for Go-Busters, Toqger and Zyuohger to be adapted into Power Rangers because that same writing staff is going to make their adaptations look even worse of mediocre by comparison.
That and yes, trains are not as popular in the U.S. as they once were back in the late 1990's and early 2000's. I am not sure how popular they are in Japan, South America, and in parts of Europe. But in the U.S. of A....not so much.

the issue isnt chip or the writers its withe tone and direction saban brands is making tin do things in. No reason we chouldnt have a more mature tone and writing like in space or tf for example and stillal to the little kids. The problem is insteal of going for the 7 to 12 demo earleir shows they are skiping to the 2 to 7 demo and we getting kid like talk and writing. As for skipping a sentai personally i feel its a great option to have now. The problem in the past they didnt know how one series was going to when they started up pr adaption and things could get thrown in a loop then. Plus if one themless marketable to western culture that helps out too.

The issue isn't chip or the writers. It's with the tone and direction that saban brands is making to do things in. We couldn't have a more mature tone and writing like in space or tf, for example, and still able to be aimed at the little kids. The problem is instead of going for the 7 to 12 demographic like the earlier shows did in the past. They are skipping to the 2 to 7 demographic and we are getting more kid-like talk and writing. As for skipping a sentai, personally i feel it's a great option to have now. The problem is that in the past, they didn't know how one series was going to work when they started up a pr adaption and things could get thrown in a loop then. Plus, if one of them is less marketable to western culture that helps out too. Then I guess we really shouldn't be complaining about the tone and direction being aimed at the 2-7 year-old demographic. Perhaps, we should just find another form of media for Power Rangers in which the tone and writing does more like it's meant for older audiences. Hence why we have the Boom! Studios comic books and the 2017 movie adaptation of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Legacy Wars video game and the original seasons to look back at, since they can be enjoyed by almost everybody, regardless of what their age group is.

My issue is still why are they gearing more to the super young demo. Then slightly older while still appealing to those young kids. There is countless kid shows out there that appeal to vast age ranges. Just for what ever there reasoning ever since Saban came back in picture they want super young demo. It just sucks direction has changed so much. Why aren't they like even say how it was during Disney years.

I have no idea, dude. But, I mean, even if Toqger was going to be adapted into Power Rangers, it still isn't going to do much since the tone of that particular Sentai series was really trying to appeal more for little kids instead of the older viewers. So, it wouldn't matter to me at all. But I will tell you one thing though....Go-Busters would never work for a Power Rangers adaptation at all, even if they tried to make it feel more like a direct sequel to RPM in the west. It could never match the exact dark tone of the original season of RPM.

Well it still could have possibly come off like Final Fantasy Unlimited due to the train journey aspect of it.
We would have also for the first time seen the Rangers change colors and gotten an orange Ranger.

We would have also for the first time seen the Rangers change colors and gotten an orange Ranger. We already got the whole ranger color change sequences in Super Megaforce and we probably gonna get an official Orange Ranger in the following season after Super Ninja Steel whether the next Sentai series to be adapted is Zyuohger or Kyuuranger.

As much as i love ToQger, it being adapted would probably be a bad idea. I just love how stuff from it is included in (Super) Ninja Steel.

...That's not how I remember the fight scenes. They all used each other's powers.
And it's not much different than Ninja Steel making Brody the center of the action most of the time.

^^Okay, we get it you hated Right, but you don't to make it sound like he was a total jerk when he borrowed his teammates powers. Plus it's a kids show, so the whole imagination thing is believable. It was a plot device, something that people who are in that type of industry can understand. At least with the train being unseeable, it prevented incidents like a group of adults boarding the wrong train.
I don't get why people take such offense with this season, and if anyone does, get over it, its been 3 years. It's over and done.

Are you kidding me? When they sell the toys and even show commercials, kids are using them, that's more than enough evidence. Kouta's got his pass from narutaki, who screws with all worlds, creating a plot device for the gaim team to see it, plus it's non-canon. The vs is also non-canon, and come on, Daigo was written as someone who can do anything, so of course he could see it.
As for writers that talk down to their audience, it happens all the time, hell, Dino charge is the only neo saban series that practically hasn't. The Emoji Movie is also a perfect example. Also toqger having one plot point aimed for kids doesn't mean they talked down to the whole audience. We also had Gritta and Scwarz romance, mio and tokatti's feelings, the group seeing a real world look at adulthood, both when they lost their memories or when they met hikari's favorite teacher.
This may surprise you, but tokusatsu shows don't get made for each viewer specifically. Whining about it isn't going to change anything. The shows over, move on.
(See how I did that without any ?! to show that I typed calmly and not like a hysterical toddler)
