Last night, I re-watched the three-part Dino Rangers team-up episodes from Beast Morphers. Well, 2 and a half-part episodes to be more precise since I considered "Making Bad" to be more of a clip-show, but not one that was recapping every event that happened in season two of the show like in every other traditional requisite clip show that you normally see in other TV shows, these days. But, anyways, after watching the team-up episodes again, I have come to a conclusion that they only exist because of Sentai footage. And that's just really sad. I mean, compared to other Power Rangers team-up episodes that have actually used stock footages from other past Sentai team-up movies like Zeo's "Rangers of Two Worlds," Lightspeed Rescue's "Trakeena's Revenge," and *sigh!* "Clash of the Red Rangers" from Power Rangers Samurai, this team-up wasn't really anything special from the beginning, but at least it was nice to see Austin St. John reprise his role as Jason Lee Scott (MMPR Red Ranger) again. But what's even sadder about these team-up episodes is that they treated the Beast Morphers team as if they were inferior to the Dino Charge Rangers, the Dino Thunder team and the Mighty Morphin' team because of the damn Sentai footage that they were using. Like they were trying to write the Beast Morphers team out of their own damn team-up episodes. And the Beast Morphers team were the more recent team of Power Rangers at the time. And I know that the Go-Busters didn't get enough screen-time in "Kyoryuger VS Go-Busters" because their own show wasn't very well-received in Japan because of the bad TV ratings and poor toy-sales back in 2012. But at least they weren't being forgotten in the entire movie. It's just that the filmmakers wanted to focus more on Daigo and friends rescuing Tyranno Ranger and Aba Red from the villains and earning their little moment by fighting alongside their dino-sentai senpai. Which is even worse since it was supposed to be the Kyoryugers interacting with the damn Government spy Sentai, but nope!! It had to be an anniversary movie celebrating all three dino-themed Sentai shows at once. God dammit, Toei.
So yeah. All I can say is that looking back at the Beast Morphers/Dino Rangers team-up episodes, they were a bit of a disappointment to me. But then again, we do have Super Megaforce's God-awful Legendary Battle to look back at. But, I think we've already established that we should just stick with some of the more better Power Rangers team-up episodes from the classic Saban and Disney era seasons. Including, "Once A Ranger." Or, we could always stick with Power Rangers Hyperforce and Boom! Studios comic books instead.
