It’s been two years since the fight with Amaranth. The Rangers had moved on, the disappearance of Jameson still fresh in their minds. When the Red Ranger returns with a new set of powers and stories to tell about a collapsing multiverse, the team is brought back together once again. However, something else was making itself known in the city.
A group of dragonoid beings followed the Red Ranger back to Crescent City, setting up shop to try and conquer a new dimension. The sun shone down on Crescent City, rebuilt in the two years since the battle with Amaranth and the Mystic Rangers. The city had moved on, all but forgetting the Rangers and the battles that lined the streets. The Rangers had gone their separate ways with the allies they’d made, though they still stayed in touch with each other on occasion. This afternoon, however, things are about to get crazy once again.
In a bar across town, Yelena Wesker, taking the last name of her father’s descendant, sighed as she tossed some beer bottles away, having taken a job in Troy’s bar to give herself something to do instead of lament Jameson’s disappearance nearly two years ago.
“Damn,” the blonde Princess of the Kingdom of Aytolis said to herself, picking her tub up and heading for the back, setting it aside. She glanced over at the office, knowing Troy was busy working. She walked out of the back, sitting at the counter, tapping her fingers softly. “All of our powers and we couldn’t save him. I don’t even know if he’s dead or alive…and that’s what kills me. It’s been two years. Maybe I should stop dwelling on it and just…move on.”
On the other side of town, a portal opened in an alleyway, a figure stepping out and putting a blue gun in his pocket. Jameson Rutledge looked around as he walked out of the alley, closing the portal behind him. “Thank you, JT,” he said, putting a device in his backpack. “Hope everyone made it back to their dimensions safe. Kida, Rina, Jaxon, Aaron, JT, Maya, Mayumi. You guys be safe. Kick ass and take names.”
He started down the street, humming to himself at finally being home after several hops through dimensions at the end of the battle. What he didn’t know, however, was something else came through with him.
-------------------------------------
Deep underground, five beings made themselves known as they formed out of fire, ice, earth, air, and darkness. Standing tall, the leader of these beings, ones that called themselves the Balaur Syndicate, shook his wings and tail out, cracking his neck.
“Finally. It’s time to conquer a new dimension. Hopefully with better results then last time,” he said. “Sound off!”
“Oh, Jukanou, you worry too much,” a female voice said, the ice woman walking forward as her form shattered, revealing an ice dragon woman. “We’ll be fine. There’s no defense on this Plane after all.”
“Mersess, you worry too little,” Jukanou said, narrowing his eyes, huffing as flame came from his nose. “Your lack of worry is what resulted in the Calamity in Dimension 84.”
“Oh, come now, both of you,” a higher voice said, a dragon of air floating up and over to her companions. “Surely we can all get along once again.”
“Aminth, you have too much optimism and not enough brain,” Mersess said.
“What you lack in optimism, you make up for in cup size!” Aminth said, folding her arms and sticking her tongue out.
“Enough, both of you!” Jukanou snapped, glaring at his sisters. “Ezzrith, Parvyne. How fare ye?”
“Mm…had better trips,” Ezzrith said, cracking his knuckles and flexing his fingers, darkness sparking off of the tips of his talons. “The desire to kill is singing in my blood. I cannot wait to taste flesh again.”
Parvyne, a dragonoid of few words, grunted and folded his arms. Standing taller than the others, he was more muscle than anything. “Mmmm…death comes. Humans suffer.”
“And so they shall,” Jukanou said, smirking as he stepped forward. “Soon enough.”

Across town, Jameson looked up as he found Troy’s bar. He was thankful for a finally familiar sight, and he walked inside, setting his bag down beside the door and heading to the bar itself.
Yelena, having been in the back again, walked out with a tray of glasses as she heard the door chime. “Be right—” she started, freezing when she saw Jameson. “Jameson?”
The former Red Ranger gave a smile. “Hi, Yelena,” he said.
Yelena screamed, dropping the tray and hearing the glasses shatter before jumped over the bar. She tackled Jameson into the floor, clinging to his neck. “Oh, my God…you’re here…you’re really here…”
Troy ran in from the office, looking around and seeing the tray on the ground. “Yelena?!” He ran around the bar, seeing Yelena on the floor with Jameson, and he grinned. “Jameson! Dude!” He grabbed his phone, opening a mass text to Harrison, Yuuga, Alison, and Alexandra. “Y’all need to get down to the bar if you can! Trust me, you’re gonna want to get here now!”
