Legends speak of the Morphin’ Masters, a group of five ancient beings that are responsible for creating the Morphin’ Grid, and by extension, the Power Rangers. Long ago, they hid themselves away after an internal battle that left one Master envious of his allies. Now, almost seven thousand years later, the Masters return when the traitor arises again.
Taking human form, the five Masters set out to put plans into motion. The traitor, setting up an empire of evil that spans the cosmos, aims to destroy the universe from Earth, using Morphin’ Energy to do it. The four remaining Masters, however, devise a plan to counter their fallen comrade, selecting once more, five individuals worthy of the Power.
On the east coast, in the city of Eaglemere, roughly two hours from the city of Corinth, the Masters set their new base of operations up, getting ready for the fight they know is coming. Now, all that they have to do is select five new Power Rangers to take on an old threat.

(OCC: Y'all do your own thing for now. THe fun's gonna start soon.)
Thousands of years ago, the Morphin’ Masters created the Morphin’ Grid, sedding it through the multiverse and embedding the chance to become greater and face down evil in all forms into every Eons Eons ago, the Morphin’ Grid was first created, handcrafted by the Morphin’ Masters, and seeded throughout every universe and reality, giving people the fighting chance to stop evil in its many forms, from space witches to scientists tampering with things they should. One of the Masters, named Autuk, wanted the Morphin’ Grid for himself, tainting it with evil that would imbue others with his power should they tap into the Grid’s immense powers. Unfortunately for Autuk, his brothers and sisters restrained him and locked him away, hoping that the end was finally in sight.
Seven thousand years passed, and Power Rangers who have accessed the Grid have come and gone. From Angel Grove to Reefside, Briarwood to Ocean Bluff, Mariner Bay to Miranoi and beyond, even to the furthest reaches of Space and Time, the Morphin’ Masters influence was felt and harnessed, creating countless Ranger teams from men and women of all ages and all time periods, from the ancient past when cavemen walked the earth to the far distant future where aliens and humans exist peacefully.
Now, the Masters have returned when Autuk broke free from his prison.
“Damn it,” Alke growled, looking at her brothers and sister as she stood up slowly. “What the hell happened?” Lithe and agile, Alke wasn’t one to take bullshit, from her siblings or anyone else. The Master brushed her arms off and dusted her hands. “Anyone?”
“A quake in the Grid,” Aevor said, drawing himself up to his full height and helping Diatha up while Sunzon got to his feet. “A tremor of that magnitude, others would have felt it.” Taller and more muscular then the other three, Aevor was unofficially the leader of the four Masters, leading them in creation and destruction as was needed.
“What caused it?” Diatha asked, brushing herself off and looking at the other three. “Sunzon, any ideas?” Smaller then Alke, Diatha was quick on her feet but also very clumsy, having a habit of tripping over herself and others, as evident as she stumbled into Aevor who was quick to help her stand.
“One. Won’t like it,” Sunzon said, narrowing his eyes as he folded his arms. The quietest of the group, Sunzon was calculating and precise, knowing when to run, fight, or surrender. “Guess.”
“Autuk,” Alke said, narrowing her eyes. “That slimy no-good rat bastard’s free.”
“Then it’s time to take action,” Aevor said. “Where are we?”
Diatha closed her eyes, feeling out into the ether and holding her hand out. “Eaglemere, Massachusetts. Close to the city of Corinth.”
“Corinth? That Corinth? Isn’t it destroyed?” Aevor asked, looking at his younger sibling. “Diatha?”
“No. Corinth, at the time, still stands. This must be before the Venjix Virus,” the younger Master said, lowering her hand and opening her eyes. “Aevor, you know what needs to be done. You’ve seen it, same as I.”
“I do know,” Aevor said, folding his arms.
“We’ll set up a base of operations in Eaglemere, disguising ourselves as humans since our true forms are incomprehensible to humanity. We must find the Five, selected from the humans in the city to take our powers and defend it from Autuk,” Alke said.
“Let’s get started,” Aevor said.

Deep underground, Autuk laughed as he formed his new home out of the lava and rock that were surrounding him. “Oh, this is perfect. Those pathetic siblings of mine think they can keep me locked away? Clearly it didn’t last!” he laughed.
Boisterous and with a “Holier than thou” attitude, Autuk was responsible for the Masters sealing themselves away after his defection and corruption of the Morphin’ Grid. He prides himself in virtually everything he does, even if it means he has to murder, maim, and destroy whatever he can get his hands on to further his plans.
“Aevor, Alke, Diatha, Sunzon, oh….you do not know what is coming for you. I will take pride in ripping out your spines and beating you senseless until the Grid collapses under my thumb!” he laughed. Dropping to his knees and plunging his hands into the molten lava. He pushed his power through the hot liquid, forms rising from the pits and stepping onto the floor. “Yes! Dracids…you are my first line of defense!”

In Eaglemere, a young woman named Jacqueline, or JJ to her coworkers and friends, was walking through her welding shop, checking on equipment and writing down the list of what she’d be needing for resupplies and restocking.
“Shit, the starter on this one’s, ironically, welded shut,” she said, shaking her head. “Son of a bitch, this is what I get for letting Mac run a welder. I’m putting that boy back in the office. He’s good on computers, not this shit.” She wrote notes down, making her way to the office and setting the notepad down before she sank into a chair and picked up a picture.
“Daddy, I wish you were still here to help me. You know this place better then I do, and I can’t do this without you,” JJ said. “I know you’re here, Dad, in every rivet and weld in this place, but it ain’t the same. You aren’t guiding my hands like you did when you taught me to weld. You’re watching from a different plane of existence and I can’t help missing you. Mom does too, even if she won’t show it. Keisha and Wally won’t admit it, but they miss you as much as I do. Fuck, I wish things were different…”
