Why would hasbro stop shout from doing releases. As shout is just licensing things to release. Like any of the many old films and TV shows shout does releases for. No different then like the many streamers out there with there license deals for what every properties. Who knows. But we know they did. Shout Factory announced they were going to release Five Man and just after Hasbro bought Power Rangers it and all future Sentai releases were put on hold “indefinitely”

Was shout license for sentai coming from toei them self or through deal between Saban with toei. If it's the later and license came from toei. Then what legal means would hasbro have with shout doing future sentai releases. As like I said shout as a company is all about license IPS. That they do and so forth. Plus doesn't hasbro have deals with shout for transformers and my little pony.

Saban Brands held the license to Super Sentai. Shout Factory would not be able to release Sentai without Saban’s okay (though I imagine Toei had a say too but obviously Toei was fine with it). This deal ended soon after Hasbro acquired the license including forcing the cancellation of Fiveman that Shout Factory had already announced. Ergo Hasbro is the one who has put a stop to any further Super Sentai release.

Hasbro doesn't seem big on third party merch.

but like i said dont they still have deals with shout for video releases of other hasbro ips? It seems Hasbro doesn’t have an issue with Shout Factory having home video distribution rights to MMPR-RPM they have an issue with Shout Factory releasing Super Sentai. Who knows why. Maybe they think it diverts focus from Power Rangers and they don’t want to risk consumers buying Sentai dvds and not Power Rangers? Even though the Sentai releases are more for adult fans and the Power Rangers stuff is aimed more at their 4-8 year old demographic The Netflix thing also seems to be more of an apathy thing on Hasbro’s end. They kept MMPR (aka the one most people over the age of 10 will watch$ and the two most recent series.

That is silly when sentai stuff here is such a niche market and all. Unless hasbro wants to release things themselfs. I Def would like someone else then lionsgate doing releases beyond shout. As for the series leaving netflix. I still hope hasbro will reup in time and bring it back. As I have brought up point we seen various movies and shows come and go and then come back again. Unless they are planning to move franchise to another service.

It would be nice if they moved it to Tubitv especially since Shout has their Sentai series on there. And tubitv is free

Personally I rather it stay at netflix. Or since a lot of nick stuff at CBS all access/paramount + it go there.

I don't trust CBS All Access/Paramount+ to have the streaming rights to Power Rangers. They'll likely butcher it like they do with all the Nickelodeon shows in their library.

Personally I rather it stay at netflix. Or since a lot of nick stuff at CBS all access/paramount + it go there. Why? TubiTV is free so Power Ranger fans don’t have to pay for yet another subscription service. It already has other Hasbro IP’s like Transformers and My Little Pony. Plus it has the Super Sentai series that Shout has released. I understand not wanting it to leave Netflix but why the hell would anyone want it on CBS streaming service?

i was just going with services that have way more viewers at. So more folks can see it. If it went there i wouldnt mind it. As for cbs/paramount i was just saying if the whole franchise is due to leave netflix fully logically if hasbro is staying with nick for a couple more series at least. It would make sense to go where all the other nick stuff is at. Like with disney having all disney own stuff on there service/going to there service once prior deals are over at other places.
Sorcher what issue do you have with cbs. I dont really see any issues from watching the older nick toons/shows that are on there right now.

An example would be Kenan & Kel. 4 episodes, plus the TV movie finale, are not on the service at all. And whatever episodes are available to watch have their closing scenes cut out.
