Cory gave a nod to Shotaru as he made his way over to Takashi. "Sensei... ya gotta give us something. How'd you survive against Lord Melion?"
Takashi sighed a bit. "In his invisible state he's practically untouchable... that's where sensory training comes into play... none of you have had the chance to implement it into battle... sensing an opponents movements without use of one's eyes... it's advanced... even I couldn't master it for some time."
Cory frowned. "That doesn't help us too much... none of have that even close to mastered. Ugh..." he stormed off as he then sat Indian style to brainstorm.
"One of you might..." Takashi said under his breath as he walked over to Isaiah. "Keep eyes on the cameras we must ensure no more attacks happened.. also send a scouter bird to check on Abby."
"On it sensei!" Isaiah said as he began typing on the keyboard loading up a scouter bird that took flight leaving the dojo.
Abby briefly wondered if it would be smarter to keep to more crowded areas and hope the Nara wouldn't notice her or if she should make sure that even if she was attacked she wouldn't endanger any civilians. Neither option was perfect but in the end she decided to trust that dojo was hidden well enough that Zonbu would have no idea where to start looking and took the longer busier route to her grandparents. While she was in a hurry she also tried to act like a normal pedestrian just in case, rather than just run to her destination. As a result it took her about forty minutes to arrive.
She rang the doorbell and as soon as her grandmother answered practically ran inside. "Now now dear, what's the rush?" "Sorry I have to ask grandpa something."
Abby found him sitting in the livingroom watching an old cartoon which she of course really didn't pay attention too. "Do you remember the story of how your uncle had to fight some invisible monster?" "I think so yeah, and I still find it strange that as just it seems the Power Rangers are back you regain interest in my stories." "Most people would be." "True, but how many would go over to their grandparents unannounced and immediately ask to hear one of those stories." Her grandfather gave her a really obnoxious intentionally not subtle wink as she said that. "Anyway I'm sure you're in a hurry for some undisclosed reason so here goes..."
Shotaro continued to look over the scrolls from the dojo library regarding Lord Melion but he couldn't make heads or tails of the information they offered most of the information pertained to something called sensory adaptation and how to "see without seeing"
"See without seeing!? What the heck does that even mean!?" Shotaro yelled to himself in frustration as he raked his hand through his hair pulling the roots clearly frustrated
Unfortunately the story didn't prove to be too big a help, but considering the fact that was about how Dai lost to Melion that wasn't too surprising. Just as Abby was about to contact with her Ninja Star, seeing no reason to pretend she wasn't involved, the cartoon her grandpa was watching showed her something that could work. "Well, that was conveniently timed." Now wanting to share the good news she took the Star out of her bag. "Guys, I have an idea that could work but I'm going to need some time to get supplies."
She said goodbye to her grandparents and headed to the closest convenience store.
Shotaro was still pouring over the scrolls when he heard Abby share the good news through his ninja star "That's great just keep us updated and hopefully we can have a plan of attack before Lord Melion attacks again" Shotaro said feeling more optimistic now that they had a plan of attack
Cory spoke into the star responding to Abby. "I'm not sure what you think is going to work but I guess at this point any idea is a good one. Just hurry because we don't know when Melion is going to-" He immediately was cut off as the computer showed civilians running for their lives again as Narabots and Lord Melion were seen on screen terrorizing the city.
"Actually... just hurry. Sho we got Action let's roll!" He called out to the Red Ranger as he prepared a teleportation scroll.
"I'm on my way!" He said running out the dojo library to where Cory was preparing the teleportation scroll "Let's hope that Abby can hurry in the meantime we have to stop him from hurting any more people" Shotaro said as he prepared to go through the teleportation scroll
Abby took the fastest route to the store, only not running in case Baku was looking for her. Getting attacked would only mean she lost more time after all. Luckily the place didn't seem too busy but it still took her some time to find the flour. As she headed to the register she got an idea and grabbed a box of eggs as well, in hopes those would be harder for Melion to clean off.
Cory jumped through the portal and rushed into battle immediately as he jump kicked a Nara Bot in the face. He spun off the impact and connected with a punch to another bot before landing on his feet. He looked around and saw only the bots but no Lord Melion. "No sign of him... but I'm sure that's what he wants me to think. It's Morphin Time!"
The Shinobi Striker lights up as a robotic voice shouts out from the morpher "Ninja Art: Transform" Cory throws his Shinobi Star as a Blue portal opens. Cory leaps through coming out of the other side in a Blue suit. A helmet forms around his head as the Shuriken Visor spins and locks in place. "Unforgiving Wave, Blue Shinobi Ranger!"
The Blue Ranger released his Striker Blade and began slicing down Bot after Bot. "At least I get a good exercise outta these Narabots! Kiyah!"
Shotaro charged into action punching one Nara bot before spin kicking another "I agree with you about one thing it's morphing Time!" Shotaro yelled as his shinobi striker Morpher transformed from its bracelet form into its Morpher form "Ninja Art: Transform!" the shinobi striker Morpher calls out as Shotaro threw his Shinobi Star and a red portal opens. Shotaro leapt through coming out of the other side in a red suit. A helmet forms around his head as the Shuriken Visor spins and locks in place. "Raging blaze red shinobi Ranger!" Shotaro exclaimed as he drew his Stryker Blade fighting back to back with Cory
"We have to be careful Lord Melion could come from anywhere" Shotaro said as he struck down another bot
Abby waited impatiently in line for the register, there were only three others ahead of her but from the looks of their carts they did their shopping for the whole week at once. It still shouldn't take much more then five minutes but she knew the others were fighting the Nara and she would also have to find a good spot to teleport from, so she just had to hope they would last long enough against Melion.
The Blue Ranger Sliced through more bots Back to back with his Red comrade as he delivered a spin kick to another.
"Look as long as we keep this position even if he gets to one of us the other can react. Got it?!"
Cory looked back but noticed a wide gap between the two of them yet his back rested against something "Oh..."
That was all the Blue Ranger could say as he was sent crashing hard on the floor after being struck in the chest by an invisible blade! The Red Ranger had barely any time to react when he was slashed as well sent to the opposite side as Melion appeared out of thin air cackling.
"Heheheh. Back more? You Rangers sure are persistent when it comes to being destroyed."
Shotaro turned around in time to see Lord Melion backhand Cory to the ground "We aren't the ones getting destroyed you are!" Shotaro exclaimed weaving hand signs "Hikari light technique solar flare!" Shotaro yelled using the same blinding technique he had used in their very first battle hoping to level the playing field by blinding their opponent temporarily
It was finally Abby's turn to pay. Wanting to save as much time as possible she had already gotten her card ready and after paying quickly bagged the flour and eggs. After leaving the store she store she looked for an empty spot where she could morph and teleport him. She had no idea how her teammates were doing, but knew she had better hurry.
Melion was blinded a bit, yelling out and immediately went invisible again as Cory regrouped with Shotaru. "Thanks... but this is rough... What did sensei mean about sensing without our eyes... guy is stealthy... no way we can just- aaaagh!" Sparks flew from the Blue Ranger as he hit the ground hard Melion reappearing now behind Red as he slashed at his back!
"You two... persistent ants... but will be eradicated regardless. You're other Ranger was smart to avoid battle. She knew her place as you both should know yours! There is no defeating me. Even Takashi couldn't destroy me... there is no way either of you can."
Cory looked over at Shotaru, his face showing concern behind the Visor. "There's no way Abby can beat this guy plan or not... Shotaru we have to think of something right now..."
