With tensions between the Red and Blue Rangers resolved, and Kida on her way to recovery, the Ragners were going to need to prepare for the next big assault, something none of them would see coming.

A few days after Cutana's attempt to make Kida and Jaxon kill each other, the Red Ranger was still struggling with her burns. Stepping out of a cold shower to draw more heat from the burns, Kida dried off and dressed, sighing as she made her way out of hte bathroom.
"Yo," she said, looking over at Rina and smiling a bit.
"Hey," Rina said. "You doing ok?"
"Everything still fucking hurts," Kida said. "Guess it's my price for getting used by Cutana like that. I just hope Jameson can fix my Morpher and Soul. Even DimetroHeat. I still feel horrible that Jaxon and i fought like that, even though it wasn't entirely our fault." She rubbed her throat softly, part of the suit having melted to her skin. "Throat hurts, but not as bad as my arms or legs."

Mayumi sighed to herself as she sat at the workbench in the Command Center, rewelding some components into Kida's burned out Morpher. She set her welder down, shaking her head. "Damn. This thing really got fried," she said. "I know one thing. We get home and if there's no threats to the Village, I might see if Sensei's friend, Dr. Connor needs help with making things. I've gotten good at this shit lately..."
Jameson snickered, working on Kida's Tyranno Soul and the DimetroHeat Soul at the same time. "Same here," he said. "It's a good thing most of my stuff back home is magic based and it just forms when we need it." He pulled his Mystic Morpher out, sighing as he took a breath. "
Restituere id quod est confringetur." The Souls glowed, the roar of each dinosaur ringing out overt he Command Center. Jameson's Mystic Morper slipped from his hand and hit the ground, the Gold Ranger following.
"Jameson!" Mayumi yelled, hopping up and running around, helping him off of the ground. "You ok?"
The Gold Ranger nodded, sinking back into his chair. "Yeah....yeah...I'm fine," he said. "That was...ow...just the last bit of my magic. Good thing the HyperMax Morpher and Max Soul are done with the magic, huh?"
Mayumi nodded, sighing and shaking her head softly. "Jameso, you're going to kill yourself one of these days."
"Pffft, fuck that," Jameson said. "I won't give Amaranth the satisfaction."

Amranth, meanwhile, was pacing the lair, a devilish grin on her face. "Master, I have an idea."
"What, you useless lepidopteran bitch?" the Overseer asked, turning to face the witch.
"So far it's proven pointless to make the Rangers turn on themselves or even be forced to turn on themselves. So, why not fight fire with fire?" she asked. "Lambda Sentinel!" The hulking sentinel walked forward, shrinking down to the size of a human.
"What is your idea, Amaranth?" Ridenio asked, looking at the Sentinel. "Unless you didn't notice, we have no access to the Rangers weapons or Souls."
"Who needs access when you can recreate it and twist it from memory?" Amaranth asked with a laugh. She snapped her fingers and a Steel Edge Saber appeared in her hands as they started to glow.
"Pervertitis veritatem. Mutent virtutem. Turn contra est quod quodammodo pertinet ad directionem gerentis." The Saber pulsed and shook, turning from its normal black, red, and silver into
black and purple. She held her hand up as a
Purple Soul appeared, taking it and flipping it open before handing the Sword to the Sentinel. She opened the mouth of the blade, laughing as she slid the new SOul in and closed it.
ALLOSOULUS CHANGE rang out, the Sentinel convulsing with black energy and sparks as his body was covered in an armor like a knight, a shield in hand. "
Lambda Allosoulus Knight. How might I serve?"
"Oh, now he talks!" Ridenio said, shaking his head. "Fun."
