The Black Ranger called for the trusted PterIce Armor, seeing it quickly materialize while he was on the run. Once he got close, he began striking Ironmoon with several ice strikes with blinding speed.
"You hurt my friends and now I'm going to do what I should have done this morning but this time, I'm going to take my time and enjoy this!" Aaron continued to slash away at the inferior shinobi, only stopping for a moment to admire his handiwork.
Ironmoon staggered backward, his hand shaking around the sword. "You...are a fool, Shinobi," he said. "THat girl is as good as dead. Just like your world. The Overseer made sure of it..." He hit his knee, sword embedding into the ground. "Proto...is who you are. The chance for him to return is coming. There is nothing you can do to stop it..."
Rina lashed out and cut down some Coronites, dropping down and slashing one's legs out. She looked over and blocked a strike from one, backhanding it. "Aaron, finish him."

After a few more spinning slashes to the surrounding grunts, the Pink Ranger looked on at the showdown that was coming to its climax. She saw that her comrade was pissed and she knew not to get in the way. "Take him out, Frosty!" JT yelled out.
Rina lashed out and cut down some Coronites, dropping down and slashing one's legs out. She looked over and blocked a strike from one, backhanding it. "Aaron, finish him."
Ironmoon staggered backward, his hand shaking around the sword. "You...are a fool, Shinobi," he said. "THat girl is as good as dead. Just like your world. The Overseer made sure of it..." In a surprise move, Aaron demorphed, digging his headband out of his pocket and tied is across his forehead. "Mayumi is strong and so is my world. We'll pull through. As for you..." Aaron held his saber in hand as he slowly walked in Ironmoon's direction. He threw his weapon into the air, quickly weaving hand signs. "Ice Style! Sheer Cold!" A wave of ice washed over Ironmoon, freezing the dark ninja solid.
"My name is Aaron Fuckin' Kane!" Chakra began to form around his Steel Edge Saber as he neared Ironmoon's frozen form. "Normally, I would want you to remember me but there's just one problem...." The hidden leaf shinobi charged forward, striking down Ironmoon with such force that his frozen body fell into many little pieces. "The dead don't have no memory."

Jameson kept an eye on the battle while he worked with Kida on Mayumi. "Aaron! Find anything that might help us deal with this poison. I'm not having any luck yet and it isn't looking good!"
"Hurry, big guy. We may not have much time," Kida said, flipping through online articles to find anything she could. "Damn it, what is it?!"

"Fuck! It would have been nice to know yall were up a creek before I sliced him in a thousand pieces!" Aaron knelt down, scrounging through the frozen pieces of Ironmoon's carcass. His search was frantic as he was desperate to find something that could help. "Having Granny Hokage or Shizune here would be clutch right now..... wait. I see something" Aaron reached down and grabbed one small block of ice that looked more like a vial of sorts rather than a body part.
"I think I may have something. It needs defrosting but it looks like the best shot we have."

"In my defense, i only just looked at the Viewing Globe while we're working. I didn't think about it until just now," Jameson said. "Sorry, dude. If you've got something, get it here fast. She's slipping."
"Mmm..." Mayumi whimpered, curling in on herself as the ominous glow in ehr veins kept seeping up her neck and down her arms, illuminating her veins as hte poison spread.

"Get going, Shinobi! We got the Coronites." Jaxon stated as he backflipped away before inserting his ranger soul inside the mouth of the sword. "Time to get rid of you!" Jaxon said as he sent a blue energy slash to eliminate his third of the coronites.

"You better not die on me..." Aaron said to himself. Without further delay, he teleported back to the Command Center, rushing over to Jameson, handing him the vial which was slightly wet due to the melting.
"Hold on, Mayumi. Don't you fuckin die on me." Aaron said as he looked down at Mayumi.

As Jaxon went to attack the Coronites, but with their Master dead, they disappeared, his attack missing and hitting the ground. Rina lowered her sword, sheathing it again and sighing. "Let's get back to the Command Center," the Green Ranger said.
Jameson took the vial, pulling his Mystic Morpher and flipping it open as a small and steady stream of fire came fro mthe tip, melting the rest of the ice. He uncapped it and took a syringe, pulling some of the antidote out and sighing. "I hope this works," he said softly, injecting it into Mayumi's arm.
Mayumi reached up weakly, putting her hand on Aaron's. "Mmm...m'okay," she said softly. "Just...tired....just gonna rest....my eyes..." Her eyes drifted shut, a small smile on her face.
"Mayumi," Kida said, taking her other hand and rubbing her arm softly. "Just stay with us, sweetie." She looekd up at Aaron. "You knife taht bastard?"

Once the Coronites were dispatched, JT said nothing but instead, teleported back to the Command Center, arriving just after Jameson was administering the contents of Ironmoon's vial to Mayumi.
Jameson took the vial, pulling his Mystic Morpher and flipping it open as a small and steady stream of fire came fro mthe tip, melting the rest of the ice. "It has to. There's no other option at this point." Aaron gently squeezed her hand as Mayumi's eyes started to close, hoping that rest was all she needed now.
"Mayumi," Kida said, taking her other hand and rubbing her arm softly. "Just stay with us, sweetie." She looekd up at Aaron. "You knife taht bastard?"
"Sliced and diced. He was out of his league." The Black Ranger said in response.

Jameson watched Mayumi's vitals, sighing softly. "Good news is, the antidote's working. Bad news is, whatever that poison did to her, it's blocking her chakra pathways," he said, looking at Aaron. "Meaning until she gets home with you, she's dead in the water, so to speak. No ninja speed, no nothing. She's brought down to normal."

Jaxon teleported back to the command center along with the others and listened to the prognosis that Jameson gave to the rangers concerning Mayumi's status. "So in other words, she's healthy but no enhanced abilities? Can she still throw a punch and a roundhouse?" Jaxon stated as he looked at the others. "Cause if she can, then she's still alot better than most people." Jaxon stated looking at the situation in an optimistic way.

Aaron looked at Jameson's diagnosis and all in the matter of a few seconds, he was at the highest of highest, feeling relief that Mayumi was going to survive to the lowest of lows upon hearing that her chakra was pretty much MIA until they got home. It was bad enough that she was already limited due to just being in this world but now that she had access to no jutsu, it made him sick to his stomach. At that moment, all of the feelings of blame upon himself were amplified to the tenth power. Not only did he blame himself for not protecting her but now he was of the belief that had he finished Ironmoon off faster, perhaps Mayumi wouldn't be in this state that she's in.
"I'm so sorry.. I fucked up." He said to the former White Ranger. He heard the voices of his comrades but he was pretty much tuning them out at this point. In that moment, the only thing he saw was that his inability to fight through the darkness and take out Ironmoon in a timely manner is what caused all of this.
JT saw the exchange and even with her more fiery demeanor, she couldn't help but feel for the pair of shinobi. It was easy to tell how this was eating Aaron up and it wasn't something that he was going to get over easily.

Rina teleported back with the others as her morph fell, walking over and standing beside Kida as Jameson talked about Mayumi’s condition. She leaned against the console quietly, a small bit of relief that Mayumi was going to pull through but at the cost of her chakra pathways.

Kida looked at Rina and smiled sadly, squeezing her friend's arm softly. "Daijobu?" she asked.

"She doesn't have to. I've got that covered all by myself." Aaron sighed, as the weight of Proto's shadow was taking a backseat to the weight of guilt that he felt over Mayumi's decision. "If you're done treating her, I should get her back to the apartments. If she's set to rest, she should at least get to rest in her own bed."
The Pink Ranger stood in silence. She really didn't like seeing Aaron like this and she hated seeing Mayumi's abilities crippled like that. She had an idea but thought better about it for now.
