which is why with his powers you can have any one. So why write the character out and loose a totally good hero ally and the relationship buildup with sue.

To me what's the point to recast role if they dropping character for now. When you could have Ralph be one of the main cast members to explain he is leaving for awhile. If you spending time to get a new actor why waste him for a one off and not see again....

It may not be a full on recast. The rumor which was unconfirmed last I checked was that they were going to bring back a familiar face to serve as "Ralph" long enough to write him off.
In terms of the decision to write him off and not recast permanently at this time, it's pretty common for the Arrowverse crew to just write someone out when their actor leaves for whatever reason with some exceptions. Like with those other characters, it gives the producers the room to write him back in should they decide to recast permanently or if down the line (possibly for a final season) they choose to bring Sawyer back once the heat has died down and they can do so with little blowback.
With that being said, I understand their logic but when it comes to the likes of Ralph and Kate Kane, I feel like a recast would have been the right call because you either have to rework an entire show (Batwoman) or introduce a new hero (Flash) to give your main hero some backup in the field.

And loosing Ralph they lost an extra hero and the whole sue and Ralph story. And oh sue showing up once Ralph is written off for now be like umm why not just do a recast and keep going. More so when other arrow verse roles have had recasting and gone on.

That's the thing. I agree with you in that they should have recast but in terms of the Arrowverse, they rarely recast their heroes after they leave the show so they've been consistent for the most part. It's not the ideal situation but it keeps their options open.

Ya the sawyer and Ruby gone sucks. I wish they didn't make a whole new character for batwoman. And I as much as I like sawyer I would have been fine for a recast. So we can keep Ralph on the show. So we have that hero to play with and be on team. As now we are down a hero. As now the only powered heroes on the team is frost and Allegra.

A good start to the season. Nice to see Eva working in taking down black hole. And what a twist saying original mirror master was just one of Eva mirror lackies. It was cool seeing Chester and Allegra working together. And seeing Nash and the other wells too. And man what a sad scene with Nash and the Wells using their energy to power the flash. I am happy he got his powers back
But going to be sad to not have wells. I hope he isn't leaving the show. As I don't remember hearing he leaving. And nice to see iris is close to getting out. And dam Eva finding out see is a copy and not the original.

It was also great to see Top again! I was crying when Nash died. But I think he'll come back somehow. Team Flash needs a Wells! So maybe a new one who's an amalgamation of Harry, H.R. & Sherloque will appear! I really like how Harry explained to Nash about how he, H.R. & Sherloque were before & how Team Flash changed them.
So glad the Artificial Speed Force is up! Now Barry can run! Two weeks before Mirror Mistress is finally taken down for good and Iris is freed!

Good episode tonight. I enjoyed seeing frost and Cisco back and helping the team. The reveal and use of Barry new power was cool. Though of course new Barry had to bring new problems and lose of empathy for barry. I liked the city knows that Eva is not real eva. And I wonder with barry destroying the machine if he out of speed again. Of so hopefully rhey can fix things quick. And woo the reveal at the end prime wells who was killed by thrawne is somehow back. I wonder if he will have some unique power or something.
