Her dad wasn't dead just missing/in hiding. She was probably told by her mom he was dead.

The way she & her mom talked in the episode where we meet her mom made it sound like he was dead.

Harry was always serious. He just had a difficult time loosening up. Out of the three Wells, he was the one they liked the most. Followed closely by H.G.

Last night episode was great Ralph trying to figure out time travel and the multiverse the Easter eggs in the episode we're good too like Ralph mentioning Barry could screw up the timeline and make so he died in the particle accelerator accident
