^Although that's true. That's not why it bothers people. It bothers people because that is what Iris refered to themselves as when we first met her. First Impressions matter

She had feelings for Barry. She didn't realize it. What bothers people is that he's not with someone else in particular. But in every incarnation, Barry & Iris not only are married, but have two kids & two grandkids.

Would you forget about the other incarnations. They don't matter the only incarnation of Barry and Iris that is relevant to this conversation is the one portrayed by Grant Gustin and Candace Patton.

Ya like he said above they are not by blood or marriage or any taboo deal. They where already friends prior to Barry moving in with the west. Think of it more as a foster care deal. And since they where already friends. It's no different then folks who are friends for x amount of time grow closer to each other and develop love.

Exactly! My best friend Bethany & her boyfriend started out as friends. Now they're a couple! A lot of the Barry/Iris stuff is based on the comics & stuff.

How in the world are you two still completely missing the point?

We aren't. We're loyal Barry/Iris fans who are glad they're getting married. People who grow up together often become romantically involved and fall in love.

^Oh don't even go there. That is one of my favorite troupes and I use it all the time in my stories. My problem with Barry and Iris is that the show did a craptastic job of making it believable. I can't buy into it.

I've met Candice Patton. I personally know one of Grant Gustin's childhood friends. I can tell they're great.

Her relationship with Eddie is one of this shows major faults. If her and Barry are supposed to have this epic storybook love than her relationship with Eddie never should have gone as far as it did.

They wanted to give Barry a rival/friend. Plus, Eddie played a major role in the season finale. Let's get back to talking about Arrow.

^Well continue that conversation in the Flash thread. Now about the Olicity wedding I do wonder what William will think about having Felicity as a Step-Mom

I was thinking about that today, too. He might like it.

Ya William seems to like felicity and she likes him. So things probably will be good between them.
