I boycotted all of the Earth-1-set Arrowverse series last year because of the stupidity of the final few episodes of Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, but might break that boycott for the new season of Arrow, because it looks really good.

That's a stupid reason to not watch flash and arrow due to what happened in legends. If anything if you didn't like what legends did stop watching them and continue the others.

Big time! I missed the second half of Legends Season 2 because it was airing at the same time as "Face Off" and three of my friends were contestants! So I had to watch it to support them.

The final few episodes of Legends Season 2 rendered Arrow and The Flash pointless because of the fact that the three series were set on the same Earth and yet Arrow and The Flash completely ignored the fact that Legends had royally F'ed up the timeline. It also didn't help that the series, for the most part, progressed "in real time". Because Legends had royally F'ed up the entire space-time fabric of Earth-1 in a manner that should have completely erased Arrow and The Flash's current seasons from existence and yet didn't, and because Legends ended on a cliffhanger, I no longer had any reason to care about Arrow and The Flash, and it wouldn't have made sense for me to watch last year's runs of Arrow and The Flash when I'd not finished the previous year's runs for both shows and now had no reason to. |

No it didn't really do that. Plus if you recall in legends there is some moments in time that changes can happen that won't change the time line. And others that are fixed point that will change things. And anyway with how legends ended they could and likely will fix changes so that ultimately doesn't affect arrow and flash times.

Here we go again! I haven’t been able to watch the seasons until Netflix gets them, but I finally get to this season.
Kind of wish Diaz’s shooting of Felicity in the beginning hadn’t been a dream. I really hope the drama with her is going to be very fucking minimal this season. Kind of getting annoyed with her character since Season 3/4. Good to see her working as a barista instead of running a tech company however. Of course, Diaz would find her eventually. Big bad gotta big bad, I guess. Diaz is just kind of a boring bad guy to me. A drug lord with a grudge? Can we get the Longbow Hunters as the main bad guys the rest of the season when/if Diaz dies? The way she’s talking when she’s talking to Oliver, honestly makes me think they’re going to give her a fucking mask and I really don’t want that.
Oliver stuck in prison is a hell of an angle. Going to be interesting to see how long he’s stuck in there. Five months of hell in prison while everyone’s out and ‘living’ life. Bronze Tiger, Sampson, Brick and anyone else he’s put in the Slab are out to get him and it’s going to be hell. Oliver’s letting a dude get beat up/to death since he won’t join Brick and Sampson, so kind of feel like he’s going to do more shit to make us unlike him until things get back to normal. The shower fight was done great. Glad to see more “gritty” fighting go on and get back to it’s season 1 roots.
Dinah’s made Captain since Quentin’s death and still a bitch it seems, Rene’s running a boxing gym, John’s working with Argus. Curtis is head of R&D at Argus! Yes, go Curtis!
I’m glad to see Laurel taking up her Earth-1 Doppelgänger’s place as DA. I REALLY hope she gets on board with the Team later on in the season because we need a real Black Canary. I’m still on the whole “Redemption for Black Siren” thing so let’s get that shall we?
The side-plot of the new Green Arrow going after Stent and the weapons deal is done beautifully, leading to some great shots of the Arrow doing what he does best: being a badass. We all know it’s going to be Roy in the end, right? My question: If it does turn out to be Roy Harper, where is Thea and Nyssa? Last time we saw him, he was leaving with them to find Lazarus Pits. Why would he come back to Star City without Thea?
We’re getting some FLASH FORWARDS!? William in the future with the arrowhead thing that Oliver gave Thea. I’m kind of thinking the dude he found on Lian Yu was Roy. What the hell is going on? Next Monday cannot get here fast enough!!!

a very good start for the season. It does seem the show has a fresher feel this go around. Also i liked seeing how ollie been dealing with being locked up. I thought he had as good plan to stay low and away from the lowlifes there. So he could try to get a reduce sentence. It was also fun with them bringing back a few past bad guys who havent been killed off. And it was neat to see how ollie dealt with them in the prison. I did like see felicity and william trying to deal with being in witness protection and that. Felicity i thought had a good fight with diaz. I was curious if we where going to see him for real. And not just ollie bad dreams. It was a bit sad to see in the end felicity is sending william away to try to keep him save. Also the crew it was fun seeing there new dynamics. Curtis working with john at argus and still working on getting diaz. Dinah has become the new captain at SCPD which was fun to see. Siren still playing up being earth 1 laurel and seems to be staying clean and good for now. Then wilddog trying to help the local kids but then sees that he wants to still help. The new green arrow was fun too. Cant wait to see who it really is. Then the flash forward scenes was fun and i am curious to see where future roy and william story plays out.
