Which was better for a stand alone season? Power Rangers Mystic Force or Mystic Knights of Tir Ra Nog? Which did you like better and why? OR Mystic Knights of Tir Ra Nog I think Mystic Knights was underrated. It was Saban's attempt to do a Power Rangers but set in Medieval Times.

I quite enjoyed Mystic Knights too, it was kind of a glimpse into what Saban could be capable of on their own without being dependent on outsourcing. Terribly expensive but worth a watch
Mystic Knights was supposed to have a second season, it's just the budget went to Lost Galaxy

Ya knights was a fun own thing and was decent show. Would have been cool if it lasted longer like vr troopers and beetleborgs.

If it has a better special effects budget, it would have been better. The armour was great - I will admit that. Too bad they couldn't use that in Power Rangers somehow. I'm sire Hasbro bought the rights to the show when they bought out Saban's Power Rangers. But who knows? Maybe a reboot of it will happen? Both were intriguing shows in their own rights, Mystic Source had a better budget... writing slightly better. I like the Celtic medieval theme set in medieval times. The music was great - all Celtic. So apparently, a second season entitled Mystic Knights: Battle Thunder was planned by Saban, but was later cancelled, and its budget was put towards Power Rangers Lost Galaxy & the English dub version of Digimon: Digital Monsters. So really, Saban might have had Mystic Force in mind when doing Mystic Force some years later in 2006. Mystic Knights of Tir Ra Nog was in 1998 - so there is time between them.

Right forgot about that... Disney era... I wonder why if Disney potentially had the rights to MK of TRN, why didn't they try and revive it? Maybe they didn't have the rights? Does Saban still have the rights to MK of TRN or did they sell them to Hasbro as part of the Power Rangers deal do you think?

Much like with Saban's Masked Rider, Saban Brands and now Hasbro owns both shows, but for the reason as to why neither shows ever got any kind of official release along with Beetleborgs, VR Troopers, and Next Mutation, I heard it had to do with other copyright issues that prevented them from officially releasing the two shows as well.

Hmmm, yet MK of TRN was an all original show by Saban not using Japanese footage etc. So that wouldn't apply, curious... maybe Hasbro will bring it out on its own at some point...

its all licensing issues. That always leads to problems.

While Mystic Knights was an original show, it doesn't mean much. There is a show that aired on NBC back in the day and only like the first two or three seasons of I think a six season show was ever released onto DVD or digital format as the other seasons that have yet to be release haven't been released due to copyright issues with the shows background music that was used in those seasons. There is more rights to a show then just to who has the rights to the show itself. There are other copyrights within a show itself. Its the same deal in a sense with Mystic Knights, just because Saban had gotten the rights back and then was transfer to Hasbro, it doesn't mean they can't really officially release it as there are current issues with other copyrights that are attach to the show.
