This whole things been a total mess for dc. God why bother doing a big event book for more then 5 to 6 issues. Cause what every single issue been delayed and delayed. Really they need to get most of the work done prior to announcing series and release. So you can keep it coming out on time.

Aquaman#50 wasn't quite an issue that warranted DeKornick staying off social media. Mera's selection of a husband was hilarious and a massive trolling of the Widowhood...though given the character's history, this might be a move that can still bite her. Mera and Arthur being on the rocks is questionable, and the whole "he'll call/she'll call" thing feels like a story being unnecessarily dragged out at the expense of both characters common sense.
Spider-Man Life Story#5 proves again that the Parker Luck is contagious. Peter's daughter convinces him to go to New York to sort things out with Tony Stark and his company, which opens up the family to an attack from Morlun. Morlun's stopped, but there's a price paid...Peter's son is killed.
Batman#75 kicks off City of Bane, with barely any pages featuring Bruce and much of the focus being Thomas and Gotham Girl, now his Robin, kicking ass in a villain ruled Gotham. Joker and Riddler are cops, Hugo Strange is the commissioner, and Ventriloquist is even the butler. At the end, Catwoman saves Bruce (although heaven knows where this fits in her ongoing's continuity)

& so Uncanny X-men crawls it's way to the end in time for Johnathan Hickman to go off his meds with the franchise. Overall this was probably the 2nd biggest Letdown of an X-men run I've experience. If there's one positive I can give it it's Cyclops getting his head out of his ass & dropping his development as a Beta-Magneto & actually try to be a hero again. Beyond that though it was pretty much just a peck-and-peel (it's inevitable that the New Mutants will return but damn) & just felt like the book was just spinning it's wheels until the Hickman stuff.
Meanwhile over in Immortal Hulk we get some insight on General Fortean & his relationship with Ross & The Hulk....Also who would've thought the forgettable Abomination clone from Waid's run of Hulk would end up becoming a gateway to eldrich horrors.
Not even bothering getting mad with Teen Titans this week. Long fight scene, Djinn lobotomizes Lobo, & Year of Nobody Cares at the end like with 90% of every other DC title right now.
