"Nothing is wrong with your television. Do not attempt to change the channel. Your regularly scheduled program will not be seen because I am controlling the transmission. I control the horizontal. I control the vertical. And those buttons on your remote that don't seem to do anything? I know what they're for! From this moment on, your television belongs to me—Control Freak!"

The beginning of the end.
-They got Mick. -WOW I keep forgetting Brax exists. -Hearing the words "Kidnapped" played seriously on PR feels weird for some reason. -GO GO POWER RANGERS! GOOOO! NIN-JA STEEL! -WOW THEY REMEMBERED DANE. -"Our friend Hayley's trying out" That was phrased kinda weird. -Well, bye Dane. -Calvin was late once out of 40 episodes. -"I drink this potion to be with you" Oh yeah, it was TOTALLY a potion that Juliet drank. -There they are... -They said death... just now. -Time 113918382138812 that Monty should've been seriously injured by something. -The rangers should be suspicious... -"You can tell me" No. You can't. This is in every TV show ever. -The rangers trying to change the subject was a little funny. -That Angel Grove reference was a nice touch. -"They took Victor and Monty!" And nothing of value was lost.
Break.
-EPIC MORPH MUSIC! -Wow, the monster needs to shut up. -JUST DO THE ATTACK. -"Don't you mean BRAX up?" No. -Early for a Zord fight. -Since when do the ranger's movements control their zords? Was that a thing before and I just forgot?? -The final attacks take TOO LONG! -"No more holding back" Why were you holding back? -I thought the zords were stronger because of Super Steel? One attack is almost too much?
Break.
-Shut. Up. Do. The. Attack. -So much talking... -Brax is dead oh no what a great addition he was to the show /sarcasm -Calvin's kind of right. -Actually, no, he's pretty much all right. -At least they're dressing how they act now. -Monsters have low expectations of comedy. -I just noticed Necrolai's suit is still in the audience even though we saw that character destroyed a couple weeks ago. -What class is that even supposed to be? -So this is the Doom Signal. -Oh yeah, I'm sure they're really broken up forever. -Oh wow they're gonna get back together what a shock. -OKAY, Calvin getting hypnotized is interesting. -The principal says "Go home" and they try to get in anyways. I'm convinced they live at that school. -DUN DUN DUUUNNN!

Here we go start of the end. Today episode was pretty good. First woo seeing Dane again. I don't know why they didn't use him much at all this season. It would been nice. Second liked the angel grove refrence. Odious plan to mind control the world first with summer cove is actually a good set up and plan. The fights with brax and bull monster was nice. Though I don't see why they really needed to kidnap a few humans to help with there mind control plans. But Victor and Monty was usually silly selfs. And oh crap with Calvin getting mind whammy and the Rangers learning mock was too. Also was a little sad seeing Calvin and Haley break up. But we know they will get back together.

Madame Odius used television signals to hypnotize everyone into becoming her slaves. Lord Zedd used this tactic in the MMPRS2 episode "Zedd Waves", only that time his monster used radio waves. Technology marches on.

If you want to get nitpicky. There is a wide array of plot points and etc... that are used over and over again in franchise.

^One of the many reasons TVTropes is awesome!
My family and I enjoyed the episode. It was sad to see Calvin and Hayley break up over something so seemingly trivial, but they're teenagers. They'll work it out. The reference to Angel Grove was a nice surprise. Principal Hastings under the spell was really creepy, the way she told the Rangers that school was closed and to go home and watch TV.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first time we've had a mentor character go evil. Mick has certainly done a lot of damage.

I have but one reaction to Victor and Monty being dressed up as clowns in this episode....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first time we've had a mentor character go evil. Mick has certainly done a lot of damage. Captain Mitchell in PRLR was once under evil influence in "Olympius Unbound".

Eh...
There’s good and bad here. Hayley and Calvin do account for some of the good, but I’m just not feeling it anymore. I hate how we have to reach the finale for something to anticipate. Hopefully next season there will be actual plots. Minus the Aiden arc and the beginning of Super Ninja Steel, so much/little substance.
