If this is their way of doing Power Rangers without hiding all the Power Rangers stuff until the last 30 minutes like the last movie, I'm fine with it. It's different for sure, I'm not really sure how I feel about the idea yet, but I'm not counting out the idea.

Ya a time travel element isn't a bad idea. If it written well. Maybe they are taking some aspect of time force into what ever these rangers will be. Or maybe the Rangers are from a future where the world was over taken. And they have to go to the past to stop what ever happen from happening. Heck who knows how story will be. As its only in early stages right now. And things could change between writers.

I have the feeling this is going to be more like a comedy of "1990's vs 2020's" thing. "Remember the '90s!!!!! They are back!!!!". Gen X vs Millenial kind of humor. Less Back to the future, more Hot Tub Time Machine. I have a bad feeling about this....

Who said anything on comedy sire there will probably be humorous things in film. But it's hard to really judge this when all we have is a little detail. And like I said who knows how much first idea/script be to what is actually shot in the final script. I bet it's going to be more like I said team comes from a bad future that was destroyed in the 90s. And they go back to stop the evil from happening and then we get a good future...

˄ Actually, I have the feeling they want to do a comedy, because the director worked in one (the End of the F×××××××× World) and he is working in another one ( , besides they treating Power Rangers as a "'90s sitcom", which could be a vas interpretation of what the show was. Sure, it had the vibes of "Saved by the Bell" with giant robots, but it takes its premise very straightforward. I have a soft spot for British dark comedies, but I don't know. Hollywood is weird.

I don't mind a movie having a few funny moments or what not. Like the mcu marvel films. I don't want to see it be a joke or a parody type film like the 90s Brady bunch films was. Also it will be curious will we see them again try to use mm or another series look and thene. Or will they go for there own look, power, theme.
Also just cause the director has only done one type of films/tv. Doesn't necessarily mean that is all he could do. Heck his films been more adult and dark humor. Vs being more family/teen friendly stuff. Again I rather it be a straight up action/venture romp with compelling characters, good story, action beats and humor added at right places.

Well, it could be a good thing. We need fresh blood. I was expecting Becca Barnes. She took like main writer role during Dino Super Charge. This could be interesting. I'm not sure about the other rumor: Ryusoulger.
