Human monster disguise episode time!
-Musical love spell... -"Time to face the music rangers!" should've seen that coming. -Epic theme music. -I hope we get to see more of Mick as a ranger. Probably not because they used all the footage, but whatever. -So this is the monster. -Victor and Monty. Oh joy. -Well this is stupid. -Is that one of Levi's songs? I have no idea. -I like how this is the first time people are amazed to see Levi like he hasn't there for a while. -At least they were KINDA quiet during this fight scene. -Oh wow what a twist. The monster that was just said to have a magical song turns out to be the mysterious singer. -Oh my god this is stupid. -So this is the evil Levi episode no doubt. -A different hat really isn't that much of a change...
Break.
-Ninja Training! So everyone can have a break. -Did Levi not actually read the song? -The song sucks. -Mick brought him a new book? Or is that the same one Viera gave him? -So he actually fell for that clear spell? -I wish she would've just ended Victor and Monty right then. -Why say what you need right in front of the bad guys? -Evil Ranger fight! -Or... waiting.
Break.
-Starninger debut footage! Nice use of it, too. -At least Sarah and Calvin were being useful. -Really thought they were finally gonna do a six man roll call. -They take too much time talking. -"Let's form our megazords, Levi!" What else would you do at this point? -Back to having Brody in the center. -Woah they're actually using the UFO zord. -OR NOT. -Had to shove that "EPIC!" in there. -"This isn't good!" Duh. -Hayley was a little flirty right there? -Gross.

Here's where the multi-parter would be ideal... The whole plot is fine but rushed by the time we're 10 minutes in.

Episode was alright. Not terrible, not amazing, but by the book really. Once again, they're really on the nose about what the moral of the day is.

Victor looked ridiculous dressed up as a matador.

Here’s the deal....
I love the zordon era. It had great characters, nice plots, and great world building. But the one thing I hated about the Zordon era was Bulk and skull. Unfortunately, ninja steel has chosen to take Victor and Monty and turn them into a way more cartoonish version of Bulk and Skull and I freaking hate it. Today’s episode was pretty good when you look at it from just a ranger/villain stand point, but Victor and Monty drag this episode, and show, way the hell down.
I was actually impressed with this episode having a good plot and the way the villains executed the plan. If they can continue this formula for “filler” episodes and then add some sort of overall plot to the season, they may be onto something. But as long as Victor and Monty are written like cartoon characters, this show will never reach its potential. Also, I am not going to hold my breath on this season giving us some overall plot.

Very descriptive. Episode was alright. Not terrible, not amazing, but by the book really. Once again, they're really on the nose about what the moral of the day is. Yeah, that was my problem too. When the moral is so obvious and heavy handed, it feels like it should be simple for the characters to figure it out. Like Levi could've easily seen though Jess' plan. Especially the part where he was clearly reciting a spell. Victor looked ridiculous dressed up as a matador. He looked ridiculous in all of it, though.

Not to bad of a episode yesterday. The monster playing a human and trick a ranger plot went well. And a good set up for a temporary bad ranger moment. The fights went well. And a solid message about being who you are and not changing who you are for anyway. Heck even Monty and Victor wasn't to bad.

Pretty fun episode! The plot was fun and evil Levi was awesome and had great setup. Cool monster too and we got to see the Astro Zord and Ninja Fusion Zord (the two least used (Mega)zords).

Thank God that we have Charlie Haskell directing this episode. I hope it stays like that for a few more episodes before or after the hiatus.
Still, good use of the Starninger vs. Aka, Ao and Shironingers footage.
