I have heard from a certain youtuber that since episode two of Ninja Steel, the show is basically worse than Operation Overdrive. But, lately after watching yesterday's episode. I am starting to ask myself this question....
"Is Power Rangers Ninja Steel the new Operation Overdrive for the Neo-Saban era?"
What do you think?

Since there are two threads about this for some reason, I'll just repeat what I said in the other one:
Overdrive isn't even that bad...
Also... this is just a weird way of asking "Is Ninja Steel better than Overdrive?"

I dont think so, Because I think Overdrive is the worst season of the show. Yes even worst then both seasons of MegaForce.

I do not agree there. Ninja steel I feel has better and more enjoyable characters and story. Yes the writing is weak or neo Saban dam reasoning let's target demo really young kids and dumb down the writing. Oo was a worst series.

Ninja Steel is miles ahead of Operation Overdrive. At least these Rangers are good.

Weird thing is... I kinda prefer the Overdrive rangers than the Ninja Steel, even if annoying Will is in it. They're more interesting characters and not to mention act like real people, no matter how crappy they seem to get. They have actual conflict and aren't all buddy buddy with each other.

Yeah, well no offense to both PowerKamenSentai and PotatoKing. But, I have actually spoken to a few colleagues of mine on twitter about this topic and this is what they have said differently.
"Operation Overdrive was limited by the budget and was held back by the company, Disney. Ninja Steel feels held back by the channel airing it, Nickelodeon."
"Operation Overdrive had a good plot, progression and story. But the characters were bad. Ninja Steel's story has no idea what it's supposed to be doing and the rangers, themselves are bland. But, not in the way of Operation Overdrive."
So yeah, basically we have two shows that are being held back by two different companies for various reasons. One show that is suffering from bad characters, in general and I do mean bad characters in general. Kind of like something you see from either a bad animated direct-to-DVD Disney sequel or an Uwe Boll movie or a bad Michael Bay movie, or the Twilight saga, for that matter, and a very miniscule budget in it's production. Where as the other show is suffering from a plot that doesn't have a clue about what it's supposed to be about (lackluster writing), bland characters, which is really nothing new, in my opinion and annoying side-characters that are just cheap bootlegged knock-offs of Bulk and Skull.
But personally, I would say that Operation Overdrive is bad because of the horrendous fast-paced editing and those stupid over-the-top Kalishplosions and I mean seriously....too many Kalishplosions in one season. I could get pass Dax's personality, the villains, except for Thrax since he is an idiot and an embarrassment to Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd's family legacy and Mack and Andrew Hartford's bad American accents. But good god, freaking Kalishplosions in Operation Overdrive is something I will never get over. But what really sad is that somebody actually counted how many Kalishplosions were in Operation Overdrive and it was an estimate of over 200 Kalishplosions in all 32 episodes. That is one epileptic seizure that hardly anyone will ever recover from. And believe me, I have seen the live-action Speed Racer movie and I'm still trying to recover from watching those insane over-the-top graphics.

SPD and Mystic Force had Kalisshplosions too didn't they? And SPD and Mystic Force turned out to be great. Overdrive had crappy characters yeah, but look at Ninja Steel and Overdrive; Who's more interesting? Mack and his realisation that he's an android all along and struggling to come to terms with it or Brody who was kept as a slave for 10 years, only to forget about it 2 episodes in?
They do have similar problems but I'd argue Overdrive is better. It does everything Ninja Steel cant do right.

I still say Ninja Steel is the worser season than Operation Overdrive. I actually found the Overdrive team to be a fun bunch of characters (Yes even Punchable Face Will) compared to the generic Ninja Steel team (And I actually do like the actors). The season could be monotonous in how it handled the whole finding the jewel plot but I gladly take that over Ninja Steel's endless meandering around. Also I say Overdrive in general handled it's premise better then Ninja Steel (The Game Show concept is cool but just an excuse for the show to do MotD plots. Someone tell me what makes it all that different from Divatox cherrypicking a monster from her army or Lothor pressing a button on the PAM).

Anything is better then Ninja Steel at this point but that isn't hard to do.. Even PROO

PROO had ambition in its plot and good ideas, but the execution was terrible. Awful unlikable characters (except for Ronnie), boring villians, horrible pace, Thrax shoved in a contrived storyline... Yeap, OO is one of the worst season ever...except por Super Megaforce, which, except for the characters (bland characters, but good people after all) did exactly the same thing in plot and execution.......but to the Nth Power. Ninja Steel is partially better that two shows, better likeable characters, with good motivations, but the plot is meh. The whole show thing is not well used, and clash with the High School setting...is baffling. Dino Thunder did it better, at least the villians had some relation with the high school, like an evil principal (Elsa). But here ..why? Besides there are episodes full of random clichéd things: school elections (why again?), semi-bullies (what's the thing with Monty and Victor?) Blogs... I think they don't have the ambition of tell stronger stories. It's frustating.

Personally I don't feel ns is that bad it's more just the caliber of writing different. But oo was a weaker show for me. But hey we all have our opinion on like and dislike series.

SPD and Mystic Force had Kalisshplosions too didn't they? And SPD and Mystic Force turned out to be great. Actually SPD's display of Kalishplosions looked kind of boring and well, they really don't go so well with the regular fight scenes. But if the rangers and villains were on motorcycles all the time, then it might actually work. Mystic Force?! Well, I think the fight choreography was more emphasized on displaying super slow-motion camera movements, fulton torpedo and laser sound effects everytime someone punches or kicks another opponent. But the Kalishplosions in Mystic Force weren't as poorly-executed as they were in SPD or as horribly over-the-top as Operation Overdrive was. They were just "average!" to me. But yeah, Mack's "I, Robot" story-arc is a lot more interesting than pretty much anything from Victor and Monty's comedic antics in Ninja Steel. Even if Mack's actor was really terrible at hiding his Australian accent all the time in Operation Overdrive. But out of all the cast members in that season who actually did pulled of the fake American accents quite well, I would say, Rose, Tyzonn, Miratrix's actors were the best ones who did it brilliantly. Not a single moment of them breaking character in that season. Ronny's acting was "meh!" Dax was just trying to be more like an Asian "Skull", but without Bulk and Will is just Will, but I really can't stand his actor, Samuel Benta at all. He was and will always a horrible person in real-life. Especially on social media. He's even worse as a human being than Shoji Younemura. And no, it's not because of the fact that he an African-British guy. Ethnicity is not the issue. It's just the way he allowed himself to be a bad person in real-life is what really pissed me off about Mr. Benta being an actor.
