More info from The Illuminerdi (take it with a grain of salt): www.theilluminerdi.com/2022/11/07/mighty-morphin-power-rangers-23/Apparently, the special gonna be 43 minutes long. It's gonna be more focused in Trini's daughter (even she's gonna have the focus in the toyline, I dunno why). And apparently it was filmed before Cosmic Fury.

I wouldn't be surprised if the focus is on Trini's daughter so they can set up a "next generation" for MMPR.

While I wouldn't mind that being the case, until there is an offical confirmation on all that, I am not taking that article seriously given their track record over the years.

Its basically the same thing they said in May: www.theilluminerdi.com/2022/05/19/power-rangers-30-yen-yellow/And for the sake of brevity, ill just repeat what I said then: So the supposed 30th season is Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the new generation. They get the old cast back and say they past on their powers to one kid so they can keep plugging MMPR with "updated" suits.

I dunno why they wanted to do "MMPR: the Next Generation" if there are other series that did the same. Dino Thunder is basically MMPR with Tommy as mentor. Megaforce too. Dino Charge in lesser way. Heck, Dino Fury had several elements connecting to MMPR. Bringing the old cast (except Jason and Tommy) brought some chance for the old fans to having some fun too. I dunno the focus for having a "new character " to stole the spotlight.

On one end, it seems like pandering by possibly making Yen (or Minh) be the stereotypical STRONG WOMEN type that everyone is sick of today. And as it turns out, my fears about this franchise' future maybe slowly coming true. Starting to look like the REAL reason they dont want to adapt sentai anymore is because they dont have an iota of creativity to make it work in America, so their best plan is to milk MMPR over and over with new faces behind it. And they are technically doing it with Cosmic Fury. I'm just gonna hold my TRUE feelings about this until after the special airs next year. Speaking of Cosmic Fury, crossranger, what do you think of the suits?

Tat we still have no clue is no more sentai after cosmic is really going to happen or not. Now sure hasbro one way or another going to pump out mm stuff if it sells they won't stop that. No different then any other toy makers doing the same thing. As for what the future of frachise post anniversary and cosmic. We won't know to hasbro reveals what 2024 show is and it starts filming summer/fall next year. I seriously doubt toei is going to go anywhere. As they still share trademarks and other copyrights with hasbro. So at the minimum I expect some sentai stuff be used. But there is still many questions we all have.

Speaking of Cosmic Fury, crossranger, what do you think of the suits? They are fine, but I have to see the suits in action. They look pretty generic for me. The other day people were making fun in some forum about the Cosmic Fury's suits, and the comparison of one of those cheap knock-off, or something of one the GIGA's "productions", that studio of "adult" movies. They look like some JAV movies had better design for some people. LOL

hard to really judge things when we dont have any official set photos/studio shot pictures of the suits. Compared to just a concept rendering picture.

I'll expect the first trailer. I wonder if it's gonna be the next year, I guess. Hasbro is not pretty good in hyping things, I guess.....

Well if it's dropping in spring. They likely will release a trailer a month out or so.

It's a nice title. It would be better "Power Rangers Forever", but that's me......
