Jennifer clenched her fists. "Well I'm ready whenever you are."

"Go!" Joey motioned forward as he led the charge with D-Blade, attacking with quick strikes while mixing in some kicks, as he hoped that the simultaneous attack from the team was successful.

Nolan began firing with his D-Blaster, hoping to add additional damage. Once he got close he began attacking with quick strikes.

Using his Brachio Staff as leverage, the Black Ranger got back to his feet, staring down Zeo who is every bit as strong as advertised.
"So Dr. Oliver, are you ready to concede? This doesn't have to go any further."
"Zeo, if you really knew me, you'd know that I don't give up, especially when I'm just getting started." Tommy demorphed, much to the surprise of his opponent.
"You refuse to concede yet you remove your only form of defense against me?" Zeo scratched his head.
"Your second mistake. When your buddy Xavier flipped the switch to give me my powers back, he restored my connection to the Morphin Grid."
"That means..."
"That's right! It's MORPHIN TIME!" Tommy charged forward, instantly morphing into Zeo Ranger 5, scoring with the Zeo Flying Power Kick, knocking Zeo back into a wall. "Zeo 5 Power Sword!" The Red Ranger kept on the attack, coming down hard with his weapon as Zeo moved out of the way. The two exchanged blows with sounds of Eltarian steel reverberating throughout the ship. When Zeo went on the offensive, Tommy backflipped out of harm while demorphing in the process. When his feet touched the ground, he transitioned into his next power. "WHITE RANGER POWER!"
Morphing into the White Ranger, Tommy increased the pace with a string of speedy attacks that kept Zeo off balance. Once he saw an opening, he summoned Saba who fired lasers from his eyes, forcing Zeo to block, leaving him exposed to a bicycle kick. Growing angry, Zeo grabbed Tommy's legs and threw him towards the ground. Just before impact, Tommy demorphed again, causing Zeo to lose his grip. The school teacher went into a crouching position and pulled out his last morpher so that he can finish this.
"DRAGONZORD!"
The Green Ranger came up from his crouching position, nailing Zeo with a devastating upper cut with enough force to cause a dent in Zeo's helmet. "Had enough!?"
"Tommy Oliver.." Zeo stood up, nodding in approval. "You are every bit the warrior that our data logs say, maybe even more. Which is why I don't want to do what I'm about to do, so please... if you value your life, stop this now!"
"Sorry. I've got a job to do and friends counting on me to get the job done and I can't fail!" Letting out a mighty roar, the Green Ranger charged forward with Zeo shaking his head.
"So be it." Zeo charged forward, preparing to embark about their final clash.

The trio's simultaneous attacks appear to be working as Maximillion appeared to have a tough time with combating three different styles at the same time. The Silver Guard created space between himself and the trio as his old age was finally catching up with him.
"Not bad. I'm still going to crack your skulls, but not bad."
"Sorry but you're not going to get the chance to pull off a comeback. We're ending this right here and now!" Joey loudly boasted. Suddenly, specs for a new weapon appeared on the trio's morphers. The weapon appeared to be a large cannon of sorts with a lion motif and blue and gold coloring.
"Hmmm.. looks like the new Grid wants you out as much as we do. Let's do it, guys! Lio Blaster time!" Pressing a single button on his morpher caused the majestic weapon to appear in front of the trio. "Okay guys! Into position!" The Red Ranger stood behind the blaster in point position, ready to pull the trigger.

"Cute toy! It won't save you!" The Silver Guard began to twirl his weapon, gathering energy and focusing it on a single point. "You had a good run but now it ends!"
"FIRE!" The trio unleashed a mighty energy blast, easily overwhelming Maximillion's attack and overpowering the elder Eltarian, resulting in a large explosion. When the flames and the smoke subsided, Maxillion's body was near lifeless as he clung to his powerless Z-Bonder and gazed over at his shattered armor. The Red Ranger walked over to his fallen opponent after handing the Lio Blaster to Nolan to hold.
"I must admit, I didn't expect the three pronged attack, not from the three of you. I doubt we'll be buddies but you've earned my respect." Maxmillion coughed up globs of blood, prompting Joey to relax a little.
"Yeah. They did good work." Joey briefly looked back, acknowledging his two teammates. "But back to you, I know you're loyal to Zeo, so I'm not going to waste your time or mine trying to pry battle secrets."
"I will tell you this..." Maximillion coughed again, struggling to speak. "When he comes for me, please tell him that I'm sorry. I failed him and his father. I failed to protect him. As for you and your comrades, I have one other request. Please allow him to take my body so that I may be buried properly next to my fellow Eltarians."
The Red Ranger briefly pondered Maxmillion's words. The Eltarian may have been a dick but he was faithful to his cause and more respectful than most villains you'd come across. "Okay. We'll do it."
"Thank you." The Silver Guard's last words were barely above a whisper as he took his final breath before passing into the afterlife.
Joey walked over to the younger Rangers and took off his helmet. "You two did good. I've thrown down with more foes than I care to count and he ranks up close to the top."

As Nolan put the Lio Blaster over his shoulder, he looked back at Joey. "I'll take that. We had a good leader." Nolan said as he nudged Joey with his fist.

"Thanks Joey," Jennifer said. She looked over at Maxmillion's body with a sad look on her face. "I just wish it didn't have to end this way."

Nodding in approval of the young duo, Joey turned his attention back on to the now deceased Silver guard. "Unfortunately, it's the nature of the business. Rarely does it end with the bad guy turning over a new leaf."
"RANNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGERRRSSSS!" A blood curdling yell could heard for miles around as Zeo and Xavier arrived on the battlefield with the Eltarians getting their first look at their dead comrade.
"And there's the welcome wagon. Now for us to..." Joey became speechless as he turned around and saw the Eltarians and something else that he thought he'd never see: Tommy Oliver's lifeless body. "HOW?!"
"It's simple really..." Xavier chimed in to provide an explanation.
Although Tommy and Joey never served on a team together, the multi-time Ranger was a pillar in the Ranger community and one of the world's greatest fighters. For him to be killed like this means that Zeo wasn't screwing around.
"I think the Lio Blaster has enough in it for another go. Team, take your..."
"Wait!" Xavier stood in front of Zeo who was having a difficult time seeing a mentor and friend who he always looked up to as if her were invincible now dead. "We must tend to our comrade first as I'm sure you want to mourn Mr. Oliver properly. Turning back to Zeo, he gently took Tommy's body from Zeo. "I'll be right back." The Violet Guard walked over to the trio and gently laid Tommy's body in front of them before taking Maximillion and walking back. "I'm sorry for your loss, Rangers. Out of respect to Mr. Oliver and all he's done in the name of protecting his planet, please use this time to grieve as we will resume our search for Commander Storm soon." He said as the two teleported back onto the ship with Maximillion's body.
Now the Eltarians were gone, Joey picked up Tommy's body. "Damn it, Oliver! You knew exactly what you were doing." Joey spoke in a somber tone. "Thank you. Thank you for giving us the time.... and the push we needed."

Several days passed since the loss of both Tommy Oliver and Maximillion. For Commander Finley and the Ranger trio, their days were busy as they first traveled to Reefside and delivered Tommy's body to his wife Catherine who was then tasked with calling all of their friends and former colleagues to arrange a funeral which took place days later as former friends, classmates, family members, and nearly every Ranger from across the galaxy gathered to show their respect to the fallen legend. During the funeral, the former Rangers all discreetly voiced their support for the current group of Rangers who were tasked with bringing down Zeo and obtaining justice for both Tommy Oliver and Brooklyn Turner.
***
On the other side of the fence, took the time to transport Maximillion back to Eltar for his memorial service. On their way back from Eltar, Zeo was standing in front of the control room on the bridge, staring out into space and remembering his comrade fondly. Xavier walked up, putting a comforting arm around the young warrior.
"He was a good man. He was loud and sometimes arrogant but loyal and cared for you like a true brother." Xavier started. "He would have wanted us to push forward and achieve our goal."
"But how!?" Zeo wiped away a tear, strugging to compose himself. "The Earth's military is ineffective and the Rangers of this planet are all firmly behind the Rangers now after what happened to Tommy."
"Our situation is not the best but you know what you have to do."
"NO!" Zeo yelled. "I will not. I want Commander Storm, not to leave a pile of bodies over the planet. There must be another way!"
Pausing for a moment, Xavier pressed a few buttons on the console, revealing footage of what appeared to be the Green Ranger in action.
"Xavier, I don't think that resurrection is the way to go."
"It's not resurrection and that's not Tommy Oliver."
"Huh?" Zeo was clearly confused. "Come again?"
"The person you see on screen.. his name is Eddie Morrison: The Aura Striker Green Ranger."
"Aura Striker?"
"Yes. He is but one of many. During my research, I got to thinking since we have a mirror world as proven by the Advent Master, what if there were other worlds out there? So I worked tirelessly and using our Eltarian technology, I discovered that there are many alternate universes out there! There are some universes where Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd never existed. There are places where their Rangers are all powered by a Wolf's Storm or they utilize the spirit of the dinosaur to combat Shattered Dimensions. The possibilities are endless. All of the power with none of the loyalty to our current adversaries."
"I don't know... It's still extremely risky."
"Zeo, we don't have much of a choice. Our relationship with Earth's government is not the best right now thanks to Tommy Oliver's death and if we don't do something soon, their desire to see Storm brought to justice will fade away and their support will shift back to the Rangers and we can't afford that! Zeo, please...."
Zeo thought it over for a moment and with everything that's happened, Zeo has not wavered on his goal of apprehending Commander Storm and force him to face justice. The current proposal was not ideal but it was the best option they had at the moment.
"Okay. I'm in. Let's do it." With those words, Zeo gave his blessing for Xavier to move forward with his idea. For the first time ever, the Rangers of this planet were prepared to embark upon a Civil War of sorts where their opponents possess powers and forces that they've never see before.

Ever since the death of Tommy Oliver, the following days have been rather quiet for the Rangers, seemingly being given time to grieve. Normally, the peace and quiet would be good but for veteran Ranger Joey Brooks, it made him uneasy. Joey walked to the front of the bus, sitting near Commander Finley who was still behind the wheel.
"This isn't normal. After striking down a general, retaliation is normally swift. They must be planning something big."

Nolan was facing the monitors checking sector by sector. He was uneasy about the situation. With the recent death of the Legendary Tommy Oliver and Eltairian Guard Maximillion, it's been deathly quiet.
"This isn't normal. After striking down a general, retaliation is normally swift. They must be planning something big."
Nolan had over heard Joey say. Nolan knew he was right. But what is this big thing coming?

Jennifer sat in the back of the bus staring at a picture of her and her brother. It was from the first time they had gotten together after she found out about him. Ever since she had become a ranger she had been unable to go see him or even contact him. She knew that he would be worried about and she wanted to let him know that she was okay.
